I don't think his regen covers that although he does have a shield if that helps protect him from the blast. I'll elaborate on how Alucard fights to get the debate rolling.

His main style of fighting is all about staying on the move, using his graceful swordplay and also using TK on his sword to double team his opponent while trying to engage in CQC. He can also use his TK swordplay in creative ways to catch his foes totally off guard.
