Ash usually starts off the fight by flying and trying to get a mobility advantage. From there, he will try to overwhelm the opponent via usage of his danmaku with grenades and rockets.

Alex would start by gauging his opponents strength, but since Ash would be in air attacking with a barrage of grandes and rockets, Alex would likely use a barrier to protect himself and try to get Ash back to ground level either by teleporting to him and dragging down or shooting him bone with magic energy blasts/ beams.

How far can Alex teleport? Since Ash has been capable of hitting targets accurately from a planet away with his rockets and other energy attacks. I say this because the most likely scenario is Alex’s teleportation being used to bring Ash down to ground level.

Edit: Almost forgot to explain why, Ash is usually more of a ranged fighter so he usually tries to create some form of distance.

Alex can teleport only to close range people so as long as he can see them he can teleport to them.

Hm, okay. The only reasonable time I can think of Alex being able to get Ash on the ground is when he fires off his grenades, as Ash needs to get somewhat close to his opponents. However, the main problem is that he can recreate his wings fairly quickly, about 30 seconds. Whenever Ash is being threatened, he will probably fire off his nuclear energy, and it is likely as he will use such when grounded, as he is not all good in melee combat.

The only real way to not get hit by it is avoiding the attack. It’s likely though, as opponents of similar speed to Ash have been capable of avoiding it. Shields or barriers won’t really work due to the energy being capable of destroying things on the atomic level.

Yeah, but as long as Ash keeps his distance, he can recreate his wings and get flying once more. Once that’s done, he’ll probably recognize Alex as a threat and begin using everything he has. Something to note is that the lightning is capable of damaging opponents that have a one-shot AP gap, and Ash can summon them, with a slight drawback in using a lot of energy. Basically what I’m saying is if Alex isn’t capable of ending the fight in close quarters, he kinda screwed.

Yeah, Alex is kinda screwed, even with his variety of magic skills, but how would Ash handle Alex's afterimages, since he could use them to confuse his opponent.

Well, Ash hasn’t dealt with afterimages before. However, he has dealt with things that can bend light, like Lucifer. The dude was capable of becoming invisible and creating illusions through manipulating light so it’s possible that Ash could see through Alex’s afterimages, though it would trip him up on the first couple of times it is used.

I see. If it's possible Alex could use afterimages and then teleport to Ash and stab him with his sword, but he wouldn't try to kill him unless necessary. Going to vote for Ash on this one.
