Not even Prototype 2, it doesn't take 2 games to be a good character

Even in 1 he was edge incarnate

So, it just causes instant death without any explicit mechanics or any traces of injuries, like the Killing Curse from Harry Potter?
Its caused via straining against malicious nen for a short amount of time. Nothing happens to organs or anything internal. So yes like the killing curse but a little delay.

True, though he wasn't exactly in a situation to not be edgy to be fair (having to deal with a terrifying viral apocalypse where even fodder zombies can punch a human in half and flip over cars with their blows, big ugly creatures that can rip apart tanks and shrug off military arsenals, being woken up from a morgue only to be considered as a widely known terrorist who committed genocide, finding out that you weren't a human all this time and that you're just a bio-weapon virus made for mass destruction by a bunch of humans who are arrogant enough to play God, getting someone you call a sister get kidnapped by one of those monsters and who then got sent into a coma, having the minds and voices of thousands screaming at you in your own mind as you relive their entire deaths, etc.), but I guess there could've been more to his character there.

You have to admit though, Prototype 2 went off a completely different direction than what the first game was taking.

Id argue while he wasn't the strongest character in p1 (He was edgy and had a lot of blank space withinin his characterization) he had potential, p2 took that potential and drove it straight into the ground. Gameplay was quite fun though, Moving on this thread should probably be nuked.

I will never understand where this argument comes from

Like, who legit thinks that forcing the mind to feal fear makes it different from standard mind manipulation when that's a such a basic application of it.

I'm going to keep this open until I've known I answered, this is a very annoying misconception

C'mon a lot of people have different opinion on different threads. Sometimes i got confused which words to follow.

So, the Fear Manipulation somehow =/= Mind Manipulation point was from an opinion of a random user from different threads that you might've followed?

Nice to know. XD

So, are you able to recall which different threads that type of logic was used in so that we can get this over with and have this thread closed?

If you don't remember, then it's fine, as long Schnee One's question is answered.

Unless those opinions are supported by the mind manipulation page they are out

I just don't understand the logic of fear manipulation being able to bypass mind resistance by being a different type of mind manipulation when it isn't even a different type of mind manipulation, it is a weaker subset at most.

It might have to do with certain types of Insanity Manipulation bypassing general resistance, whuch confuses people into thinking that any subset of the power bypasses resistance? Maybe?

well im a bit late to this(new year and shit) but yeah mercer kinda slams hisoka into the ground at the speed of sound

But then prototype 2 happened
