I have always wondered if the rival of Thanos could stand a chance against the Golden Guardian with his soul based powers, magic and ability to usethe evolutionary cocoon to adapt. What do you guys say?

Incon I think. Based on the profiles, Sentry can mindhax, while Warlock can soulhax.

I don't know why its not mentioned in his profile but Adam Warlock resists mindhax.

Yeah, Warlock is highly resistant to mindhax to the point of being almost immune. He's faced and conquered illusions/psychic attcks from Man-Beast, the Magus, and even Moondragon with the Mind Gem. His Soul Gem has is also capable of warding off mental domination and his unique mind has adapted and evolved to protect itself from these kind of threats. If all else fails, he has showings of protecting his mind with sheer willpower:
