hey guys, I'm a newbie to this forum, i wonder, if someone wants his favourite character to be in the official vs battle wiki as a profile, does one have to make an explanation on who is this character and what's his history behind it alongside with having reliable sources in order for others to see this and make a profile about this character in a wiki?

and what's the difference between "discussion" and "article" when it comes to posting a thread?

Depends on who the character is. Here you can find what types of characters/verses are allowed on the wiki

The VS Battles Wiki presently consists of 38,036 pages, most of them listing the statistics of characters across different fictional franchises. However, there is a tremendous amount of work involved in maintaining the accuracy of statistics and upholding a high quality for the profiles. In...

As for creating a profile, as long as it fulfills all the necessary requirements and doesn't possess abilities or ratings considered "controversial" (such as conceptual manipulation or tier 2 stats) you can just create a profile and upload it on the wiki yourself. But make sure you first create it in a sandbox to make sure it's good before making it official, as any further changes will require a content revision thread.

If you're not sure if the profile is in a good enough state to be published you can always create a questions and answers thread asking about it.


I would advise going through the rules regarding profiles and going through the wiki discussions before making any profiles. That way you'll get a feel for it and won't make any unnecessary mistakes

what if someone want others to powerscale his favourite character instead if he doesn't know what's the most accurate scaling level

If you think there might be people interested in scaling the character and helping out with a profile for them you can try to make a "Wiki Page Collaborations" thread.

If you don't think there's people interested in it then there's not much more you can do.

You can ask others to help you calculate feats or help you with formatting, there's always at least someone willing to help with that. But actually picking the feats to scale and doing the profile making would be mostly up to you, and without additional fans might take super long

Honestly, no idea. Every thread I've seen just uses the discussion option and there are no rules that give some unique purpose to articles
