About Nen in VS Debates

We've talked about this so many times. With "Ren", a character can induce fear, paralysis, madness and possibly death on anyone without Nen inside HxH. Outside of HxH if you can equalise Nen with some other aura thing, say Ki from DB then it won't work, because we can say the Ki can act as a "Ten" against the Nen. If the character resists fear hax, madness hax or the limited death hax then it won't work. If a character has a HUGE ap advantage then most people here assume it wouldn't work. If a character doesn't have anything to defend against Ren with no resistance to any of the effects then they're ******.

Sorry, I'm new here. So would Akame be able to resist it? She was capable of clearing her mind against someone to prevent them reading her thoughts. She's also in the manga capable of mentally casting aside her emotions and become blood lusted by saying the word "buried".

Equalising Ki, Chakra, Haki, or whatever to Nen does not give resistances to Nen passives, as equalization NEVER gives resistances you don't already have.

I think you misunderstand how the Nen Passives work. They work via hitting someone who is "defenceless" ergo, they do not have "Ten" as a defence to malicious aura. We say energy equalising CIRCUMVENTS this, it does not grant resistance. If we can equalise an energy to Nen and a character has some sort of "aura defence" then the passives will not work.
Ki will act as a defence in my book. No idea about chakra since it doesn't really act as an "aura defence" around the body though in special cases it does with chakra cloaks and such. Haki, no idea, not up to date with One Piece.

The first one is just a unique resistance to Telepathy and the second is just her entering a state of mind similar to Killua's "Assassin Mode" so I would say no to these granting her resistance or defence. Although if I recall Akame has some Madness Hax resistances or something?JCJ1058 said:

Well in the Manga, it was stated that in order for Akame to activate her Demon Mode she needed to discard her humanity and embrace her inner demon if that counts for anything. In the anime she had to accept the rage, grief, and tension of everyone she killed when she cut herself.

Haki is not going to work, since it's pure spiritual energy, not life energy.
I also don't see resistance to madness hax on Akame's page but if she does have it, it better be Type 3 because the others are useless against Nen.
