His speed ranges from MFTL to MFTL+ but I can't find proof of his speed feats.

The links aren't working for me for some reason.

I personally think that he is FTL at peak unless someone can give me proof of his MFTL feats.

Thanks for reading.

Reppuzan:

Sorry to tell you this but the videos in the links say that errors have occured. I also tried to watch them yesterday but it didn't work.

You have any links to other Youtube videos showing those feats?

I also meant Mega Man's travel speed, like Sonic's running speed for example.

I appreciate your help.

Does the character profile need to have its links updated?

@Antvasima

Well no, they were put into the Wayback Archive, they're just slow to load due to how old they are.

Reppuzan:

I can agree that Mega Man (Classic) is MFTL only because he was standing on "Rush" the robot dog who traveled at MFTL speeds.

Being MFTL+ due to teleportation...By that logic Goku is MFTL+ due to teleportation as well.

For now until you find out Megaman's running speed, we'll assume that Mega Man's true speed on his own is Unknown.

@Adam

I don't see why we can't use his teleportation as travel speed. It usually takes some time to warp in (albeit a very short amount of time) and Mega Man only uses it to get to the foot of certain strongholds to save Rush's fuel.

Reppuzan:

As a fan of Sonic I do admit that Mega Man speedblitz Sonic as long as he rides on Rush the dog robot.

I see. If Mega Man can teleport at will instantly to anywhere he wants to be then he can catch his enemies off guard by appearing behind them then start shooingt them.

In a race, teleporting is cheating and same goes for Flash stealing Sonic's speed as well as Sonic using the Chaos Emeralds to go Super to rush to the finish line.

In a fight I don't see teleporting, stealing speed, using chaos control, etc as cheating.

@Reppuzan We tend to keep teleportation as a separate power from running or flying speed.

@Adamjensen

I'm mainly annoyed at the fact that you're using your Sonic bias to justify such a change.

@Antvasima

But Mega Man only uses his teleporter to get from Point A to B and not in the midst of a fight. Thus why we've set it as his travel speed.

Travel speed explicitly means running or flying speed in this wiki. You can rephrase it as "teleportation speed" if you wish, however.

Reppuzan:

I never said that Mega Man's speed is less than FTL, just Unknown on his own.

The point of this thread is to make sure that Mega Man's speed is correct with proof despite videos in the links in Mega Man's profile not working.

Since you provided proof I have accepted Mega Man's speed being MFTL and MFTL+ so I am not biased, you just got the wrong idea about me.

Anyway I am not here to be hostile. I hope you have a good day.

Antvasima:

That makes sense. That also helps to avoid confusions.

@Adamjensen

Something's wrong on your end since the links work just fine for me.

I apologize if I came off as aggressive since I misread your statements, but I'm unfortunately very biased towards this series due to my love for its lore.

But I'll be fine with changing it to Teleportation Speed for now (not that this would change the value's function in practice).

Mega Man is +MFTL not because he was standing on Rush, but because he was piloting Rush during that space sequence. So him dodging the Wily Star's lasers were solely based on his quick reactions and impulses which is 250x faster than light. That goes for the asteroid belt too, but it's 25x. Other examples of reaction speed are when he dodged Quick Man's beams of light, fought and defeated Quick Man (who was stated to be FTL in a manga though personally I'm not sure if that's canon to the Mega Man Classic series) and fought Duo who traveled from Jupiter to Earth in 38 seconds which, according to calculations, is 50x faster than light. He also outran Galaxy Man's and Saturn's miniature black holes and this is impressive since spaghettification didn't effect Mega Man. However, I suppose you're right about his running speed not being clear.

(And I just realized writing this comment was pointless, but screw it I'll put it up anyway.)

I just saw the videos and still agreed with Mega Man's speed being MFTL and MFTL+

Don't sweat it.

Changing the type of speeds does help to avoid confusion.

You're right I meant to say that Mega Man was riding on Rush but I still accept those MFTL and MFTL+ speeds feats.

Also how do you calculate his quick reactions to dodging the lasers?

I am asking this because of cinematic timing which brings problems.

Do you know which Mega Man characters that Classic Mega Man can keep up with by running after them? We can powerscale Classic Mega Man's running speed to them.

Has the speed statistic been changed from travel to teleportation speed?
