About Low-End, Mid-End and High-End Scalings

So I sometimes see some calcs having mostly a "Low-End" or "High-End" scaling (Sometimes "Mid-End" scalings are added) but my question is; why are "Low-Ends" more accepted? Because it's a "safer" placement? Who's to say that a "High-End" is more safe? Or even a "Mid-End"?

Not saying it's wrong to pick a low-ball, but it is peculiar that Low-Ends are mostly accepted

Said in general, but some times using the lowest result may not the most reasonable, like using references shapes that aren't appropiated. In any case, if a method of calculation is not fitting, then its discarded and the next resultminnthe tablenisnused, turningnthat one into the new "low-end".
