A resistance question

Does resisting a certain ability help resist abilities of the same type?

For example, does time reversal resistance have time stop resistance?

I don't think they would since they're different applications of time manipulation. Resisting time slow doesn't mean you could resist time STOP, for example.

Well what I mean was if a character has resistance over matter manipulation it's very safe to say he can also resist towards biological manipulation too and similar kind of abilities but yes there are some exceptions too.
