Mostly for undead. Hamon effected non undead though at point (organ failure ko and other durability negating ability and power just not the melting pability).

JoJo's healing capabilities and AP advantage gives him a clear cut victory. Yamcha is a capable martial artist but JoJo is still quite capable in hand to hand as he was in a boxing club and fought Tarcus and Bruno, both of which were knights with a great deal of experience.
