A quick google serch tells me that the surface area of a elephant is 23.8 m²(trough is a indian elephant and not the biggest one) a single ant has around 0.0000487 m² in size, so there can be 488706 ants over a elephant body at the same time... this don't seen right but It's the value I got so I probable got something wrong somewhere

The calc is correct, seen like only 488706 ants would be able to cover a elephant body at a time, at least a averge indian elephant, sinse or elephant is the biggest possible the amount of ants is probable much higher
