9-A Underdog Brackets Round 4

While I can't vote, I will make a case for my character.

I feel that through the use of her telekinesis and forcefields, Sweetie Belle could take this.

Froggit is somewhat cowardly as well, So if Sweetie starts to become troublesome he may try to flee.

I feel it would be a close match due to Sweetie Belle's lack of experience but I think she takes this.

I'm not sure if Froggit has dealt with forcefield before. Considering how the forcefield is made of magic it would likely be able to block the soul magic from Froggit but I could be wrong.

For telekinesis, Froggit, to my knowledge, has no real defense against it.

I am finally here.

Now, I will prove ya wrong.

Attack: Froggit, Sweeties AP is 35.40 Megajoules and Froggits is 62.9015064 Megajoules

Durability: Froggit, see Attack.

Lifting Strength: Sweetie Belle, Froggit has no given Lifting Strength, making it average at default, much inferior to Sweeties Class 25.

Stamina: Froggit (assuming this is Final Froggit), High > Average.

Range: Froggit, its flies can go up to Dozens of meters. Sweetie at best, magic included, is just extended melee range.

Intelligence: Equal. Both are average.

Experience: Assuming Froggit, assuming it was a part of the war between humans and monsters. They were able to keep up with Frisk when they fought them. True, Froggit may be cowardly, but he shouldnt be messed with. After all, Sweetie on the other hand has no fighting experience whatsoever.

Abilities: Rough choice, you have Froggit with its danmaku via flies, but Sweetie has Telekinesis and Forcefields, but Froggit has the range advantage. And yes, I reviewed footage of the force field, and its not even threatening, for it goes one way, which is the front, but it doesnt protect the back. As for Telekinesis? Welp, thats a joke as well. Still melee, but not very good. She never uses it in character since she was never in a fight. And with Soul Manipulation, that can do extra harm to Sweetie. Yeah, but Froggit has this.

Well, we can see that despite Sweetie having the lifting strength, thats it. Froggit has everything else, and thanks to that, he should be able to wear out Sweetie and keep his distance until Sweetie is unable to fight anymore. Eventually, she can defend herself but its no use as she cant do it forever. And with Danmaku via flies, he strikes Sweetie everywhere, even hitting her from behind.

Vote: Froggit.

Okay but how he get past the forcefield? Also All sweetie has to do is close the distance to lift him up in magic. She could use her telekinesis to move the flies away as they come toward her.

At least he puts up a fight with Frisk, who, at the time, had high Determination, so thats experience.

Its simple. Take a look at this. The Forcefield is one way, and one particular part of her is exposed: behind her. Even if Froggit cant manage to destroy the forcefield, there is always option B: keep your distance and run off while you continue to fire flies at Sweetie.

Since the flies are supposed to be soul attacks, even if they get reflected back at Froggit, he resists soul attacks. He runs and runs until Sweetie is tired, unable to fight.

Isn't high determination frisk genicide Frisk? Correct me if I'm wrong? And what about my points about the ForceField and Telekinesis?

High determination Frisk isn't just her Genocide version. S/he beats Asriel through her determination to succeed alone

Actually, Frisk can have higher determination even in the neutral or pacifist route. As he progresses further, his determination increases, and it was the point where by the time Frisk fights Final Froggit, that same determination would be used to defeat Asgore.

Also, I clearly answered that question.

"The Forcefield is one way, and one particular part of her is exposed: behind her." (Forcefield)

"Since the flies are supposed to be soul attacks, even if they get reflected back at Froggit, he resists soul attacks." (Telekinesis)

"Even if Froggit cant manage to destroy the forcefield, there is always option B: keep your distance and run off while you continue to fire flies at Sweetie." (Both)

Froggit doesn't really resist Soul attacks, he just takes it like normal damage. He's still hurt by them

It hits the soul, not just the physical body. Also, no it does not. Also, I can see that speed is unequal, so yeah. Froggit runs until Sweetie goes tired. At least the speed is close, though, by a 10 m/s difference. So she should be able to keep up.

While her forcefield doesn't guard the area behind her, Froggit from what we we've seen needs to attack from the front at least based off his attack patterns in the game. So I don't think he could attack her unshielded side unless he manages to get behind her, in that case she could just turn around.

She could just jeep her forcefield up and close the distance.

Actually, it has a particular attack where, one by one, there are many flies. And they go in one direction, but stop and catch you off guard by charging from behind.

Assuming the bottom of the bullet board is "behind" and the top is "front", you dodge to the left. Then, it comes back from behind. Eventually, the many flies would overwhelm Sweetie. She tries telekinesis but flies keep spawning in, to the point she cant deal with all of them.

Here. That can probably catch Sweetie off guard if she were to sidestep. There can be more spawned potentially, as thats just game mechanics for the attack ending before more can spawn.

It never shows up alone. It normally has a partner helping it. Likely Whismalot create a swarm of butterflies to limit your space to move while Froggit attacks.

Looks like he's just sending the flies in their general direction not actively sending them behind for a surprise attack. Oh, and that frontal shield was blocking the spiders from all directions (they were literally surrounded on virtually all sides which would've made a pure frontal shield worthless)

Well, only having a solo one, Froggit can summon flies faster, so many to the point this can be potentially overwhelming.

And then you have... this.

Also, in a fight, would it be in character for Sweetie to immediately set up her forcefield in a fight?

That would put him withing telekinesis range. The only fight we've seen her in was with the CMC here https://youtu.be/4VJY4ebrDfc I haven't seen the whole series so I could be wrong but considering she put it up to protect herself from those spider, she would likely put it up at the sight of a bunch of huge flies headed her way.

Considering that it would seem that she would be doing reckless fighting first before getting serious (since that wasn't real fighting), I guess this has potential for Froggit winning before she gets serious.

And to reiterate: This was before she learned magic. Which means up close fighting was her only option at the time. And are we seriously arguing that a childish spat she got into with close friends over a disagreement is how she is going to fight when her life's at stake? Really?

This is as if you are semi to fully bloodlusted, right? This is not a bloodlusted match. Assuming both are in character, Sweetie would still be a rookie in fighting for not getting into a proper fight. She has yet to be in a fight with her magic. She tends to make mistakes as well.

As I searched her character on the MLP wiki, she seemingly only uses her forcefield once, and I think she will only do it again if she is bloodlusted. And the Telekinesis was only used to lift a broom, but we have yet to see it at full potential, hence how I saw it at Possibly Class 25.

She wasn't bloodlusted when she did it the first time. Where does the class 25 come from then? She doesn't need to be bloodlusted to take a fight seriously.
