I don't think a real life tyrannosaurus can handle that many lions, they would absolutely swarm it to death like a colony of ants ripping apart a praying mantis.
 
Anyways, now that it's TEN lions vs a T-Rex, this is legitimately interesting. As lion prides can actually be up to 30, this is a group that would actually work together. Tyrannosaurus main advantages are being bigger than an elephant (something Lions pretty much never hunt) and... Honestly, that's probably it. It's fairly intelligent, but so are lions. Idk, I wanna see how others take this.
 
Well, Lions are experienced in taking down animals larger than themselves (Like cape buffalos) So 10 of them could prolly take one down if they are coordinated. They're also way faster than the t-rex too (Speed doesn't seem to be equalised)

Tyrannosaurus
  • WAY bigger, like, bigger than African Elephant big. Lions don't typically try to hunt things that big
  • More mass means more resilience
  • Crazy strong bite and also large mass probably means that any hit the T-Rex gets on a Lion is a One-Shot or at the very least incapacitates because of how damaging the attack is
  • Possibly higher intelligence??

Lions
  • There are 10 of them
  • They are faster than a T-Rex
  • As a group, they might be able to knock down a T-Rex by going for the legs.

Due to VS thread rules and for arguments sake, it's assumed they go all out against the trex regardless of what their nature is.

I know, I'm just saying lions might be out of their usual hunting target. They might not be used to enemies this big.
 
I mean, a giraffe, which averages at 1.2 metric tons and has a generally less bulky appearance than a T. Rex, staved off an attack from at least three lions (and before you bring up the fact that they're lionesses, they're the ones that do most of the hunting), and it looked unbothered during the attack.:



What makes you think ten lions can take on an 8-tonne carnivorous dinosaur who can fit one lion in its mouth?

Okie dokie, after watching this in full, my opinion has now taken a complete 180, lol. The giraffe lowkey just ignored them most of the time they were on it. I don't think a frickin t-rex will be any better for 10 of them (though i believe they're the same size as a giraffe roughly)
 
Tyrannosaurs are like 3 meters tall, 12 meters long, and weigh upwards of 8 short tons. Like I said, more comparable to the African Elephant (T-rex is bigger tho). Giraffes are taller, but have considerably less mass.

Erm, Sue was measured at 3.66 to 3.96 meters tall (let's say she's 3.8 meters tall) and weighed 8.4 metric tons (9.26 short tons), and that's the same specimen you got the 12-meter length figure from.

The average specimen may be a bit smaller, but they are still much larger than a giraffe.

Same things as before! T-Rex is really big, with the most comparable thing being an african elephant bull. I would say Ten Lions would have a hard time taking down an African Elephant. Not impossible, but hard
