10 lions fight a Elephant

Ok, following so we can resolve the T-Rex fight.

Elephant strengths: a lot bigger, tusks, more intelligent, and surprisingly mobile

Lion Strengths: much faster, 10 of them, pack tactics

lions do have better burst speed so they should have a bit easier time dodging the elephant "fast walking" sinse they don't need to acelerate as much to gain speed

To answer Lemon, Individually, up to 500 pounds per lion, so 5000 pounds, or 2.5 us tons or 2267 kg

An African bull elephant weighs, on average, between 4500 to 6000 kg (according to Wikipedia)

I mean cats in the Panthera class are typically pretty strong for organisms of their size, but I dunno, even lions would have limitations. For example, a giraffe staved off an attack from three lionesses (which do most of the hunting in a pride):

This isn't getting into hippopotamuses (whose skin thickness generally allows them to ignore the piercing damage from lions), which have skin that's 6 cm thick, thick enough to stave off attacks from mature male lions. Of course the average skin thickness of a giraffe is a bit larger, at around 7 cm: https://anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ar.21190

Of course that can be a potential downside to elephants as elephant skin is only one inch thick: https://www.wwf.org.uk/learn/fascinating-facts/elephants

Have there even records of a pride of lions hunting down an adult elephant?

That might be a problem. Best I can find is this:

And it's basically a pride of lions trying to get to a calf while trying not to get screwed over by a female elephant. Heck, just a bull showing up made a pride **** off.:

Apparently, there's a lion pride in Savuti that has specialized in elephant hunting and were able to kill even adult bulls.

While the hunt was often accompanied by 20 lions, only a few of them actually engaged the elephant, with one or two lions jumping on the elephant's back, while others grab their hindquarters and tendons.

The elephant's lower spine is weak enough for the Lions' bite to break them, and that's actually how they can take it down.

10 lions with the right mindset should be more than enough to take down an adult elephant.

Considering that sba say that the chascters are in their strogest version we are most likely using this lions here

That specific pride is just built different.

Lion deniers on their way to search up the strongest elephant of all time:
Lion roars and elephant runs off in fear FRB

Any way, I think I will vote elephant only beacuse here we are using the elephant hunting lions... lol this is really funny

neitheir are full mature lions lol, any way. and The vote is alread going to lions anyway thanks to the "elephant killer lion gang"

I’m kind of doubtful on the lions since the video in question even points out that the elephant that went down was an exhausted straggler in the herd and before the entire pride showed up to jump it, the elephant hunters were running away. Said elephant also wasn’t exactly what I’d call strongest/biggest elephant since it was on the lower end of the 3m range while the biggest recorded one is less than two inches away from 4m at the shoulder and almost 11 metric tons. Quite frankly, a swing of its tusks is gonna look like the Mûmakil vs Rohirrim in Return of the King. So long as the big guy doesn’t try to run away and exhaust himself as a result, he should be winning this just by fighting back, even if he takes a bunch of injuries.

There's a reason why lions mostly target either baby or sick elephants in the pack. The elephant would straight up defend itself till the lions give up and leave the area.
