    Why's that? We saw it work on Gerard's hoffnung, Hoffnung transfers damage done onto it as injury to those who damages it. When Toshiro flash froze it and sliced it apart, the effects didn't work. The reason why it didn't work on Gerard himself is because he has resistance to power null.
