My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

That’d kinda go against Deku’s own statements during the VH Arc if that was actually the case tho. Along with the other statements of Quirkless Shigaraki also being on All Might’s level.
Yeah, I'd probably have to agree. All things considered, I think he meant he wasn't on par with Prime All Might yet.

I mean being Prime All Might level means a lot of things

Deku was basically Prime All Might level during Vigilante Arc in terms of power and speed, but could he consistently whip that power out as freely as All Might could? No. I mean he needs a lot of set-up with Fa Jin and Centrifical Force, meanwhile Prime All Might can just whip that power out whenever he wants

Then again, I haven't seen the movie, so I have no idea

He says it some time before he uses his strongest attack.

If AM still had some juice in him during his final fight with AFO, like, let's say, a minute of juice, how's that turning out for AFO? I know he probably still wins, but how bad does he end up?

Speaking of, any updates on the continental storm punch feat/any new verse updates?
Don't know if I mentioned it but the lower tier revision was getting too big, and with the possibility of it being undermined or supported with new information, I've pretty much put it on hold until I can sort all of this out. Right now I'm focusing on the Final Smash Calc Group Thread, where we can decided on what this feat should be rated as.

Can't really give an ETA, but I do believe it should be done before the year, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Btw it's been confirmed that the official volume 42 release will add an additional 60 pages to the last 7 chapters. So who knows what will change or what will be expanded on. I doubt it's gonna change anything on the scaling side of things though.
Seriously? That many? I did have a feeling that the weekly time constraint was a burden on how Hori wanted to finish off the story... Hopefully some things are more elaborated on

When I first heard about it, people were saying an extra 40 pages. Then I hear it's 50 extra pages. Now I'm hearing it's 60 extra pages.

I just checked myself and it's around 56 pages extra, if we're counting the double page spread as two, if you don't than it's 58 extra pages.

Volume 41 had 200 pages and the chapter pages total to 178 pages. So that was an extra 22 pages, meaning Volume 42 will have over double the amount of extra pages.

So yeah, Horikoshi had a good bit to add.

How long after the release do we think someone's gonna put that online?

Guys, how hot are Dabi's flames? I'm debating some people who are saying Sukunas fuga is hotter than Dabi's flames because it vaporized steel and concrete in a 200 meter radius.

This is off-topic, but I appreciate that after JJK's Ending, people have come to realize MHA's Ending is actually not that bad for the most part. I mean I always thought MHA's Ending was pretty great, but seeing people realize they treated it far too harshly after the abomination of JJK's Ending... It feels good to see some people can read

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't most of the initial criticism towards MHA's ending due to misunderstandings regarding the initial leaks?

I imagine this to be true for a good amount of people.

As the initial leaks made it seem like society forgot or didn't recognize Izuku's achievements, and that his friends "abandoned" him for 8 years. I even saw people say that Monoma having a statue in front of U.A. made him more well respected than Izuku or some stuff like that.

Lots of people were also spoiled by those poorly translated leaks, along with the fact there will always be a group of people who hate everything, it was not a good combo.

There were multiple factors that lined up right for that initial reaction to take place.

I'm still seeing vids with hundreds of thousands of likes saying stuff like his friends abandoned him for 8 years and Uraraka forgot about him and stuff like that

So now that the series is over, if Death Battle ever decided to do a rematch of Deku vs Asta, how would you think the battle would go? Idk if Black clover got any crazy feats since that battle so I'm pretty ignorant on it but I'm curious about the result.

Deku would get neg-diffed realistically but knowing Death Battle Asta would somehow lose.

Death battle counts the salamander feat and through power creep and multipliers Asta is like large planet level lol

Hell no, at the very least Asta should fight Mash or Meliodus, not Deku again.
