The Chronosapien Time Bomb downgrade

@Firestorm How does No Watch Ben reboot the time stream and give Ben the Omnitrix if he was in his own timeline where there is no Omnitrix?

The NW Timeline isn't defined by the Omnitrix not existing at all, just that Ben and anyone else didn't get a hold of the Omnitrix that fateful summer.

Disagree, if the portion is big enough I think it should still be low 2-C, you still destroyed space-time (or heck only the present universe could be big enough)
This is headcanon fam. You have to provide evidence that only portions of the timelines were destroyed.

@Firestorm “Amazing a universe without an Omnitrix. It boggles the mind.”

@Zamasu Well if Ben Prime’s entire timeline would still be intact then it’d be a quite stupid plan of Vilgax right? Especially when we visually see the universes get erased. So Frimi’s take is: maybe Paradox moved Ben getting the Omnitrix out of time (or something else did) so that he could reboot the time stream, if you think this is too iffy then you get to my argument where I say that only the present got affected, I don’t even care if that’s 2-B but the site still tends to treat it that way.

And if you agree with Firestorm that I’m over complicating things and that Paradox didn’t mean what he said in the literal sense then fine, the CTB remains 2-B and all timelines but one got completely affected and somehow No Watch Ben’s timeline still exists despite it’s past being erased.

I’m a bit lost here but about the timeline stuff, I will say this.

Destroying only parts of a timeline, and not the entire timeline, is explicitly not tier 2 AP at all without further context. This was the very reason why Zeref from Fairy Tail for instance didn’t get Low 2-C via Neo Eclipse for only destroying a centuries worth of time. And in the thread that was made to upgrade him, it was made clear and generally agreed that not destroying a whole timeline isn’t an AP feat. Just some form of time hax.

That's false, you need to affect the space and time as whole to be Low 2-C or else it's just 3-A

@Kukui Do you think Zen’o should be downgraded as well then since I am pretty sure he only wiped out the future and not Goku’s present?

Yeah I see where you’re coming from but I think destroying the universe with the dimensional wall of the present also counts since you aren’t just destroying the matter in the universe. It’s just that fiction tends to ignore you not supposedly being able to travel to the past anymore in a lot of cases and while I can’t say with all certainty this is the case, even the mother of all multiversal feats, Anti-Monitor destroying infinite universes in DC, could be affected by this.

I’d be lying if I said Zen’os feat wasn’t sus either based on this logic. I think it should definitely be worth a discussion.

That said, Zen’o should be left out of this thread and made into his own so that we don’t cause a warzone of derailing.

@Kukui I don’t have a lot of time now and you seem well-informed on the topic. Could you do me a favor and create a general thread or Q&A to discuss this issue in general, we’re kinda stuck in this thread if we don’t?

@Greenshifter

I don't think Paradox was saying that it never existed in the No Watch Timeline as they all branch off the Prime Timeline.

Even if we were to not take Paradox’s statement at face value, there’s still the fact that Ben Prime’s timeline is destroyed and if you argue all of it through all of time is destroyed then No Watch Ben’s past and consequently his present is destroyed as well. Also your pic is a little low quality.

If we are to continue this topic, we should confer with the other staff members regarding destroying branching timelines as this occurs in other franchises as well.

Well if Paradox and NW Ben went to a different timeline then the CTB didn’t destroy all timelines.
It was stated (and shown) by paradox that it destroyed all the timelines but⠀No_watch's.⠀That is not debatable

by virtue of Many worlds interpretation:
by going back to any point in⠀ No_watch's⠀ timeline you would restart the infinite timeline split.

Given this premise, ⠀going back a second ago would spawn ~infinite timelines and kickstart the timestream.
→ It is⠀not⠀a matter of being able to restore the timestream or not.
It is a matter of going back far enough in time to a moment pertinent enough you could respawn Ben Prime's timeline.

They’re still able to travel to Ben Prime’s past right after all timelines were destroyed. I guess it can be chalked up to PIS because no amount of explanation would have it make any more sense.

Since this suggestion seems to have been rejected, should we close this thread?

I disagree with the bomb downgrade, it being 2-B is blatant. But I think we should discuss Alien X scaling to it, cause it's pretty iffy imo.

I meant we could talk about it in my thread so that this thread can address the scaling portion (which it definitely should be talked about) and then wrap this one up.
