Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

i don't think hollows necessarily bury into the ground, they're kinda just domes that occupy whatever space they show up in
That's what I was thinking. Most barriers in fiction just occupy the available space and so are either spherical when in the air, and hemispherical on the ground (like domain expansions in JJK).
i see. what would be a better way to get the crater's depth then?
I mean I think the depth used is fine, they just didn't account for the part of the ground not pulverized by the compression. But usually for craters I think 1/10th of the diameter is allowed for depth since that's the average proportions of moon craters and has been used in a fair share of calcs. But I always prefer measuring the depth since that can underestimate a lot of the time.
wait why are you here then?

To help, cuz why no-

Wah... cheese...

Can I have it...?

No I mean the hive mind hollow was specifically a hollow floating mid air. Like the entire sphere was in the air. Sunbringer’s name came from clearing the hollow in the sky.
Is that not the hive mind hollow in that video?
oh right. uhhhhh i dunno lol

that's kind of the assumption but we dooooon't really know? i mean, it was eldreda doing the feat, and i assume it was OG sunbringer who cleared the hive lord hollow in the first place so that would have to be before she split herself into the three sunbringers. remielle's demo also seems to have brought the hive lord feat itself into question if her words are to be taken seriously.

i don't think it's the hive lord hollow because A. it's eldreda performing the feat, even though it'd more than likely be OG sunbringer pre-split who cleared it and B. we kinda just see that the hollow is on the ground and not in the sky so it just can't be the hive lord hollow going off of that

unless ZZZ decided to just retcon what the hive lord hollow even was in the first place or something. idk man 💀

ok correct me if i'm wrong cause i'm dumb

but basically if i want to do a safer estimation of the crater depth i would just use 1/10 of the crater's diameter?

That's always a safe end to do, but I wouldn't personally. I think how the depth is obtained is alright already (tho it could be optimized a bit more).
alright cool, just making sure. i don't really calc stuff regularly so i just referenced a lot of other calcs to make sure i was doing things correctly and not messing things up lol. preciate the feedback 🫡

Some volume needs to be removed from the crater due to the conical frustrum in the middle. That'd prolly reduce it a bit, but I think High 7-C is likely still. I'd obviously still like a more concrete method of calc'ing the craters size, but ZZZ has made it pretty hard to find a concrete reference.
i could probably figure that out really fast, though i'm not sure where exactly i should be measuring the shape of the frustrum

would it make more sense to measure it off of sort of where the blue glow of the frustrum is? or would it make more sense to kind of just do it like the #2 option? or would there be a better way to do it entirely?

I think you can just straight a straight line down from the top of the frustum to where you think the bottom is (Just draw a straight line through where you think the bottom is). You'll probably need the diameter of the top and the base for a volume calc.

I’m an idiot. I was so content on the fog being clouds because I thought it was the hive lord hollow.
but now that you’re bringing up the fact that it’s Eldrich Sunbringer and not OG it can’t be the HLH. Why tf would they show SB destroying a hollow if it ain’t THE hollow.
Lmao.
mb Laser those are def not clouds.

I personally wouldn't measure from the center top of the frustum. I was meaning moreso the edge like this:
c33b055c0379.png
would that not just be the frustum's height? sorry i'm a bit confused on what you mean

Calc the fog dispersing too
idk if i'm smart enough for that 💀 would probably have to refer to other calcs to try and figure that out
