Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

There's a fan animation that pretty much fills the void but I wish ZZZ indulged us 😭

Feats-wise the most impressive thing might be the cut she did with the boulder
from the looks of it it seems a little hard to gauge the full size of the boulder but it looked absolutely massive

also it looked like she just straight up stopped time before she cut it in half?

MIXv1rv.png

remielle was also doing this shit with her energy beams which i'd say also seems very impressive

also how do we feel about this feet, from the looks of it it seems like sunbringer collapsed a hollow down and made that giant crater as a result
Idk how big the ball is. Could be any tier without a frame of reference. If the ball's bigger than a person then I think at least 8-A+, could be Low 7-C

In this scene you can see in the parts circled that these lines are present. It looks similar to something I’ve seen throughout the game (like that specific structure is recognizable), but I don’t know for sure.

Those lines could be this one shown here.
luuXVI0.jpeg

Or these shown around these buildings.
g4wuy0m.png

It could be neither, I don’t know. Assuming the line is as wide as Sunbringer is tall (1.7m????), makes the total width of the first destroyed area like 90m.

There’s another shot where you can see an object that looks like a building of some sort poking off a rock.

5bljORG.jpeg

But idk if it’s a building or not.

Ieh1Sbh.jpeg

I quickly skimmed through it and that’s what I found, maybe there’s something I missed

Honestly this is just those platforms you see in Shiyu so it wouldn't be unreasonable they're the same given they're probably fighting in a similar area and the perk is that we've already scaled the size of the tiles in previous calcs

This hole pink hair made in the boulder is far bigger than her wingspan.

XVNTNxx.jpeg

That same hole is very minuscule compared to total height of the boulder.

oXUy0wP.jpeg

Maybe someone can find the pixel size of shot to find the total height of the boulder.
I guess that could be used for width too?

For the length I guess you could angsize this cus Sunbringer’s head is still visible down the middle.
And considering it kept extending after this shot maybe you can get the speed it took to reach this frame, and multiply it by the rest of the time it spent extending to find the length. Dk if that’s valid or not tho.

it should definitely be bigger than a person even when it got compressed but i think it'd just be hard to gauge it's size without any way of properly measuring it

there's this follow-up shot of sunbringer seemingly standing right in the center of the crater so i was thinking you might be able to use this to try and gauge how large it is but not sure if that'd be valid or not

The crater looks way different from the shot I've seen before, it's hard to tell. The crater looks a different shape now.

dang, that's kind of the only good shot we see of it directly outside of the initial shot of it, but unless you could find a way to accurately measure the size of the hollow then i'm not really sure how you'd get a good gauge of the crater's size
from there i assume all you'd need to do is use the measurement of the buildings as a reference in order to find the hollow's height and diameter. then once you find the diameter of the hollow you can just utilize the in-game map and use the hollow diameter as a reference to gauge the size of other hollows and the distance between certain areas of the map

where-to-now-3-0-v0-zdl9540br5dg1.png
my only other guess on how you could try to get the crater's size is to measure out other hollows to maybe find an average size and use that as a reference for the hollow in the MV, but i dunno

what's with this game and making these feats overly complicated to reference man 😭

W game creators trying to prevent powerscaling brainrot?????

Send me the cutscene, I'll see if I can work smth out.

Fog don’t look like this twinlet

It doesn’t ever look close to the ground to me.
Maybe from the crater shot? I’m pretty sure it’s cus it’s a big ass crater.
You can’t even see none of the gigantic rumble that’s falling around it in the wide range shot.

Have you never seen thick fog from above? It looks almost identical:

This is also consistent with the fact that before the fog was dispersed, everything looked muggy, dark, and hard to see. But after dispersing it, everything was clear.

Also, they are clearly ground level because you can see the outer layer of the crater literally in front of the fog which wouldn't be possible if it didn't reach surface level:

And it's clearly not a crater that extends numerous kilometers into the air because then we would've seen it when she was walking away in the aftermath of the crater, yet we don't. Nothing there at all looks several kilometers in the air.

Because thick clouds were covering the sky?
On second thoughts, is Sunbringer inside the hollow? She’s fighting ethereals.

When the clouds group up they stack ontop of each other so some of the cloud touched the ground.

Sure, the point is you can't use the argument "they don't look like fog" when there is fog that looks like that. That alone isn't evidence for it being clouds or fog, it was just to show you made a hasty argument.

Idk anything about ZZZ, I don't play it, so I don't know the lore on hollows, ethereals, etc.

And I mentioned fog because when Sunbringer sent that bird out or whatever it clearly flew through thick fog, and that thing definitely didn't fly over a kilometer in the air just from eyeballing.

Clouds don't stack on top of each other and push clouds lower, that doesn't make sense. Clouds physically can't form that low nor can they sustain that due to how clouds are made. The atmosphere is too high at ground level for them to ever be pushed down like that. And if they stacked, they would stack on top of each other, not below each other (tho even that would have a limit, but that limit is nowhere near pushed in the clip so that would be possible).

Reasonable. So fog it is.

Just still weird for me. The hollow in the sky was actually 10 feet above the ground ig.

To be fair, the hollow (assuming that's the creature) didn't look that high in the sky. You can see its arms on a relative plane with Sunbringer. It's arms are prolly 10ish feet off the ground, but its main body which is a bit higher is prolly anywhere under 100 feet above? It's not absurdly high, but it's not super low either.
This isn't bad, but it shouldn't use a hemispherical shape since for the depth it accounts for the conical frustum in the middle of the crater.

Wouldn’t this mean the hollow was inside the ground if the overlay is true?
i don't think hollows necessarily bury into the ground, they're kinda just domes that occupy whatever space they show up in

i see. what would be a better way to get the crater's depth then?

That creature is inside the hollow not surrounding it. The creature we see isn’t surrounding the actual hollow that’s not possible lol.
I’m confusing myself so much

No I mean the hive mind hollow was specifically a hollow floating mid air. Like the entire sphere was in the air. Sunbringer’s name came from clearing the hollow in the sky.
Is that not the hive mind hollow in that video?
