This is a test to see how Aldeberan fairs in matchups. Could be a stomp, might not be a stomp.

Aldebaran & Aldebaran (Alter) VS Doctor Strange

Conditions:
  • This is a 2v1 matchup, so keep that in mind.
  • Speed is equalized; Aldebaran (Alter) is used for speed equalization, to prevent weird speed-blitz conditions.
  • Post-Blip Doctor Strange is used.
  • The battle takes place on MCU's Titan.
  • Battle starts at a distance of 1 kilometer.

since they are different characters, i think they can be equalized to the slowest character here and it did work fine (plus its not like al has much really)

I think they would try to close the distance first cuz i dont remember strange fighting anybody from 1 kilometer away (nor do i think Al will do that)

More importantly, strange does have resistance to Al's looping but does Al know this?

Strange has some possible win-conditions:

- BFR via portals or mirror dimension (portals can send Al a multiversal+ distance away, which is beyond what his domain can loop)

- Astral Projection (He can simply punch Al's soul out of his body, which prevents him from dying and incaps him. He could potentially fight/destroy his soul as well)

Strange could potentially figure it out or counter Al's ability. He has extraordinary genius intelligence and even the Ancient One was able to tell when avengers came from the future. He also has multiversal+ range extrasensory perception.

Nope. He does not have the Time Stone in Post-Blip.

What are Al's wincons then? Not only are these very potent wincons for Strange that Al doesn't really have counters to, but most importantly Strange does resort to using these extremely often (even against people who aren't even out to kill him like Peter)

――One-hundred thirty-two-thousand and fourteen.

Alas, over the course of the battle he had repeated over, and over, and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, a battle that nonetheless did not last longer than two minutes on average, Aldebaran had become more proficient.

Aldebaran: [――Your stars were bad.]

- BFR via portals or mirror dimension (portals can send Al a multiversal+ distance away, which is beyond what his domain can loop)
This works if Strange just leaves him there. BFRing him a few hundred metres away works too since the Domain is an invisible sphere around Al. If killed before he can set up a new Domain he's gone for good.

- Astral Projection (He can simply punch Al's soul out of his body, which prevents him from dying and incaps him. He could potentially fight/destroy his soul as well)
Unlikely to work. If Al got incapped in a way Alter could perceive then Alter would kill him. Destroying Al's soul also just activates the Domain.

Literally attack that lands on Strange? Lol.

He has 6-B attacks with his Alter-self, and Strange only has 8-C durability.

He's also extremely versatile, intelligent, and has time looping.

He'd need some higher level regeneration to survive his soul getting destroyed. Just time manipulation would not work I believe. Soul is pretty absolute in R:Z. And he would only be comparable to Subaru's Low-Godly.

Strange has attack reflection, he's also far smarter and has the more versatile kit. The time looping is really the only thing and he has answers for that so? What is Al's typical starting shenanigans?

None of that terminally prevents Aldeberan from potentially landing a hit on Strange with the dragon, especially if he loops, as then he'll be given foresight on what Strange does. And he has kilometers worth of range with attacks + a LOT of magic.

Like, you can say Strange is more versatile and smarter and such, but Al's win condition is still just landing a single attack. Unless that has a 0% chance of happening (very unlikely), this isn't a stomp.

So, this seems to be a fair matchup.

Time Manipulation & Immortality (Type 4; Al's Authority allows him to redo events by manually setting a save point shortly beforehand, so that when he dies he goes back to that save point. The Authority essentially allows Al to draw out improbable possibilities through trial and error. This works even within the Castle of Dreams, where it is said death would leave the soul shattered even upon returning to the body.

I never said it was a stomp? I was just asking for what his wincons were, but still, the looping isn't going to be as potent of a surprise since Strange would likely know the same way the Ancient One did as you said earlier. Though maybe the 2v1 it was ends up being the deciding factor here
