Honestly I'm kind of surprised Mahoraga didn't just adapt to DA shutting off the wheel by adapting after it turns back on to prevent itself from being turned off, especially since Sukuna can sort of give directions on what way he would prefer the adaptations to manifest.

well you could say the adaptation was stopped = mahoraga didn't get "exposed" to amplification per se

he could adapt to it overtime tho, as per his adaptation to daburas darkness without actually experiencing it

I'm sure if he witnessed DA and Sukuna told him to start adapting to it while then entering and exiting the range of DA very quickly Mahoraga would adapt to it faster.
