Supergirl (2026) Movie Spoiler Discussion Thread

With the review embargo lifted and the release imminent (and seemingly some overseas screenings having already occurred), I decided it was about time to make this thread for spoiler discussion of Supergirl.

Just got back from seeing the movie.

• Supergirl isn't at full power for large sections of the movie
• Krypto is out of commission for almost the entire movie
• Supergirl is a decent fighter even while depowered, at one point making good use of a Sklarian Raider teleportation device
• Being exposed to yellow sunlight allows Supergirl to quickly recover from quite a few things over the course of the movie, from being exposed to the vacuum of space while initially powerless, being poisoned by the effects of a green sun, and multiple wounds left by kryptonite arrows
• With limited yellow sunlight exposure, Supergirl withstands getting hit by the weapons of a Sklarian Raider ship that blew up part of a large wrecked spaceship, then outright overwhelms the ship's firepower with her heat vision in a beam clash
• Supergirl is able to resist the effects of a poison that was intended to paralyze her, though it clearly weakens her
• Supergirl treats tanks as fodder
• Supergirl's heat vision blasts through several walls of Krem's ship at once, leaving a large tunnel out of the ship.
• Krem relies a lot on poisons, and only really gives Supergirl trouble when she's in a weakened state, otherwise, he gets soundly overpowered
• Krem is described as having the strength of a thousand men, he catches a falling tank with one hand, and he destroys walls
• Lobo is described as an immortal who killed off his entire planet. He also is hardly phased by getting stabbed by Krem
• On one hand, Lobo is treated as someone that Supergirl does not want to confront, even with her powers. On the other hand, Lobo didn't seem to be capable of breaking out of a metal cage on his own. Not sure if that's a feat for the cage, an anti-feat for Lobo, or some other sort of PIS

Movie was good imo very enjoyable, I saw it with my sister and she enjoyed it too

Scaling while Supergirl is nerfed for most of this movie she still gives a solid FTL to MFTL feat and we are looking at low 7-C

A couple other random notes:

• Ruthye is clearly inferior to even basic Brigand Pirates on her own, but her sword should scale to wherever Krem's durability ends up at. I guess she'd have Stealth Mastery, plus the inflatable spacesuit should grant Space Survival
• While the movie simply states that Lobo killed off his entire planet, preview pages from the upcoming artbook (which may be subject to change) indicate that the planet itself was destroyed, though without further information on how this was done, this presumably doesn't impact anything.

Yup sounds about right to me, Krem should end up being like 9-B maybe 9-A and around Class 50~K

No one else really gets scaling from Supergirl aside from potentially maybe Lobo off of vibes but thats it

Supergirl's resistance to kryptonite was quite impressive; it was especially commendable that she could still use heat vision and fly even after being struck by four arrows. Superman, on the other hand, had been weakened far more just by being in the same room as a piece of kryptonite.

When she vaporizes all those walls of Krem's ship with her heat vision, those holes made are like over 5m in length and height and are at least 1m thick

She vapes like 3 of them with one blast

To be fair in this case the sun was out so she wasn't entirely deprived of it like he was but yeah still impressive nonetheless

Taking this literally, since average human is 50 kg, Krem would have a lifting strength of 50 tons, or Class 100

Fits with his showings, stopping the falling tank with 1 hand shouls yield something similar

After Supergirl took down Krem at the end and his ships were all destroyed wasn't there no other ships they could take to get off world


Like if I'm not mistaken that's probably a second instance of her having to fly to another star system without a ship

The planet Krypto was on had a red sun so she couldn't have simply flown there without a ship. She also would have to somehow carry all the girls they kidnapped and they didn't have a spacesuit like Ruthye did, so there probably was some ship left.

My meaning is that its possible she flew back to the other star system where they had that initial battle with Lobo with the one yellow sun to pick up her ship to since it was left there.


Like it IS possible she grabbed her ship to save the girls and then went to Krypto, I only say this since as far as we know Krem's crew weren't sporting several FTL ships like that
