id say the panel not only implies dabura was enjoying the fight but they were also fighting evenly

That's kind of the point here no? Mahoraga had more time against Dabura than anyone he's ever fought. If more time after being hit by a sublight/near light speed kick didn't allow Mahoraga to jump from ~Mach 3 to Mach 800000, why exactly would it allow Mahoraga to jump from 7c to like 4A? There's no logic follow through here. It assumes Mahoraga will develop a type of adaptation we never saw it do.

It didn't actually spontaneously become FTL because it encountered someone thousands of times faster.

Don't know what this means, but Dabura essentially went unharmed after he broke Mahoraga's sword and melted his own leg. Essentially, at no point do we see anymore damage on Dabura after that.
That means, at minimum, Mahoraga's adaptation doesn't work like you are saying it does. In VS terminology, he's not jumping 20 tiers of speed or damage in minutes.

and i already explained he doesn't need to jump "20 tiers" against the hypothetical character in this scenario

you are giving maho a circumstance and saying it wont work because different circumstances made him adapt differently

Yeah I don't think maho would adapt to gain higher stats, especially since we know he can adapt to have near total destruction regen and can adapt to gain dura neg
