Will my guess come true? Falsesky and Phanes' eggshell are two different things.
Because in Natlan's world quest, Kukulkan said that Phanes modified the leyline into a fence that protects the planet, this is also supported by Layla's statement, that the leyline is a reflection of the stars in the sky. So, leyline and Falsesky are indeed related. While the eggshell is a different thing, it is possible that Falsesky was created after the war of revenge and the eggshell broke when Phanes was born and began the creation of the world.

What is meant by "impossible" is that the dragons failed to create a fake sky. The dragons lack the ability to create a fake sky, as that requires a "reason" that encompasses the entire universe.
That's why the dragon researchers gave up and voluntarily handed over their research to phanes, believing that phanes would be able to create a fake sky, which the dragons failed to do.

So from the recent leak about the false sky, the order should be:
- The Dragons were working on false sky technology to protect Teyvat from the Void.
- They did not achieve the expected results, and the experiment failed.
- Due to its failure, the project was abandoned.
- Later, Phanes came to Teyvat and fought the Dragons
- During this war, one of the Dragons stole technological data from the Dragon civilization, and that false sky project data may have been included.
- Phanes stole that Data and analyzing the information.
- And then finally Phanes continued that project and eventually succeeded where the Dragons had failed.

The point of the false sky isn't even to only hide the planet. That's just the first part the more important part is making the universe believe Teyvat has no life and is a barren rock. This is the part that requires "Reason " which is what was ultimately achieved by Phanes.This is one of many times that they confirmed that the power of Reason = Universe level power.
