Antoine would still be eligible though, as per Ian's words, but barely. IIRC he was saying how incorporating just those 4 alone is an active challenge in regards to what Sega would allow, and that beyond those 4 (and potentially Nicole) it's virtually hopeless.

Tbh Freedom Fighters are kinda lost cause.

They wont bring exact versions of those characters. Game story is too different. The core premise of them doesnt really work. They could DBS Broly reimagine it, but the group is bit too big and would definitely take too much space from other characters.

And god forbid Sonic shipping wars with Sally lol

Iirc Ian said there wasnt even a plan to end Archie so like... Whats there to even finish? Some plot points mainly from old prereboot that has legal issues? A SatAm season 3 when its creator has passed?

After seeing that fanart of Sally reimagined as Princess Elise, I couldn't be more upset about SEGA making Elise a a ******* human and not just bringing Sally into reality. Literally one of the no-brainers imo, they could've avoided that whole thing just by making Elise an existing Princess character.

My basic idea for the canon Freedom Fighters is to make them "extreme" in their beliefs. The Restoration helps rebuild and protect, so the Freedom Fighters try to take down what creates problems to begin with. They'd be in favor for killing anyone in a position of power that doesn't use that power to help, like Eggman, Clutch, and probably G.U.N. This could play into Sonic wanting people to be able to turn their life around for the better while others like Espio hold a mindset of not letting repeat problems be repeat problems, like in Metal Virus. This'd change up the dynamic between Sonic and the FF too, so that it isn't just a copy of Archie's writing.

That was actually exactly what Ian said. They would be completely new iterations of the characters and would only be the same characters in spirit.

Agreed. The fandom literally has people chomping at the bit to see their character get time in the spotlight and it could apply to so many (Silver, Blaze, Tails as of the past near-decade aside from Frontiers, etc.)

I would assume Archie itself is simply dead and that no plot points from it will ever get resolved.

The biggest showing is in Sonic Mania, Base Sonic can battle a Phantom Ruby empowered Phantom Egg as well as the Hard Boiled Heavies. However, the Phantom Ruby then goes haywire and goes on to make Egg Reverie zone and give Phantom King (& likely the Klepto Mobile) the power to fight Super Sonic. It can also be overclocked to be even more powerful

Well mechs do not always use the full extent of their power sources. To me, this seems less like evidence that the Ruby's power varies (especially with no statements) and more like an indication that certain robots simply do not use the full extent of the Ruby's power.

Even more reason why the Imgur thread needs to be finished, so I'm glad it's almost over. I am probably gonna immediately hop into improving the pages again, after an overdue CrossWorlds CRT.

Not us talking in 2 places at once The issue is that no revision can effectively continue without Imgur being solved. Though thankfully, it's about 70% complete.

I was originally against splitting Amy, Tails, and Knuckles into 3 eras, but I suppose I see the merit in it after all this time. My mindset from before the Imgur Crisis compared to now is... quite different lol.

I'm not for it myself since they’re grouped with Smash Bros. It makes it seem like Classic Adventure and Modern are different canons or versions of the character, but I get liking it.

I personally think the absolute highest you can get any version of Sonic without crossover scaling is just over baseline Hyper. If you interpret Von Schlemmer's "Matrix" observation as 11-D, then say the Next Evolution & Chaos Force were/are above it.

Crossover scaling is never valid in my opinion
