CONTEXT
During a fight against a moving statue against Susie, the statue swings in a slow-mo cutscene as we can see the sound waves moving. This was then calculated by @Qurbonboev in this blog, reaching a result of Mach 34.PROBLEMS WITH THE CALC
The app or program used by the user is likely miscalibrated. The measurements of the sound wave, as well as the swing (which is visible yet not accounted for), are incorrect. I have verified that myself after recalculating the feat from scratch using the Windows program "Measure Pixels", which provides a more accurate result.RECALC
(90+63+76+76+82+72+62+51+125+104+107+123+23+6+10)/43 = Mach 24.88 (Hypersonic+)
PROBLEM WITH THE KE FROM THE HAMMER MASS
The hammer mass was calculated with faulty pixelscaling as well.
Using this program is unnecessary since we have the pixel values under the characters.
Susie = 43px = 44/36x167.95 =
EDIT: Susie is 44px tall
Susie = 44px = 44/36x167.95 = 205.27cm
That's not how you calculate an ellipse, you're basically calculating a diagonal. We will rotate his head on photoshop so it looks like a straight ellipse.
So, from the corner of the mouth to the pink corner of the ribbon to measure the height, from the back of the head to the tip of the nose to measure the length.
- Susie: 183px/205.27cm
- Gerson: 189px = 189/183x205.27 = 212cm
- Ellipse Height: ~48.1px = 48.1/189x212 = 53.95cm, I will assume the height is equal to the depth since its oval shaped. (b, c = 53.95/2 = 26.97500cm)
- Ellipse Length: ~77px = 77/189x212 = 86.37cm (a = 86.37/2 = 43.18500cm)
- Ellipsoid Volume: (4/3)pi*0.43185*0.26975*0.26975 = 0.131626835m3 0.5 to compensate for one of the sides of the head being smaller = 0.0658134175m3
- Susie: 183px/205.27cm
- Gerson's torso height: 72px = 72/183x205.27 = 80.76cm
- Gerson's torso width: 128px = 128/183x205.27 = 143.51cm
- Ellipsoid Volume: (4/3) x pi x 0.71755 x 0.4038 x 0.4038 = 0.490069529m3
- Gerson's leg height: 60px = 60/183x205.27 = 67.3016393cm (h)
- Gerson's leg width: 32px = 32/183x205.27 = 35.8942077cm (d)
- Cylinder Volume x2: pi x (0.358942077/2)^2 x 0.673016393 x 2 = 0.136182362m3
- Total Volume: 0.490069529+0.0658134175+0.136182362 = 0.692065309m3 (reduced from 0.767517075m3)
- Susie: 183px/205.27cm
- Hammer Handle Height: 192.2px = 192.2/183x205.27 = 215.58cm
- Hammer Handle Width: 14/183x205.27 = 15.71cm
- Cylinder Volume: pi x (0.1571/2)^2 x 2.1558 = 0.0418332231m3
- Hammerhead Height: 175px = 175/183x205.27 = 196.30cm
- Hammerhead Width: 87.73px = 87.73/183x205.27 = 98.40cm
- Cone Volume: (1/3) x pi x 0.4920^2 x 1.9630 = 0.497644961
- Total Volume: 0.497644961+0.0418332231 = 0.539478184m3
- Volume of the Statue: 0.539478184m3+0.692065309m3 = 1.231543493m3
- Mass of the Statue (2500kg/m3): 1.231543493x2500 = 3078.86kg
- Mass of the Hammer (2500kg/m3): 1348.7kg
- KE of the swing: 0.5x1348.7x8535.11627^2 = 11.74 Tons of TNT (City Block level)
- KE of the statue: 0.5x3078.86xx707.4375^2 = 0.1841 Tons of TNT (Small Building level+)
Lifting Strength
- The Lifting Strength will be calculated by taking the time it took for Gerson Statue to accelerate the hammer.
On the original swinging scan:
- Sound: 43px = 43/192x205.27 = 45.97cm
- Timeframe: 0.4597/343 = 0.00134023324s
- Movement: (90+63+76+76+82+72+62+51+125+104+107+123)/192x205.27 = 11.02m
- Acceleration: 2*11.02/(0.00134023324^2) = 12270176.8m^2
- Force: 1348.7x12270176.8 = 1,687,506.6919 Tons-Force (Class G)
Kris shoves the statue away
Another feat I neglected was whne Kris shoved the Gerson Statue away, which in terms of speed and KE is a bit irrelevant (9-A KE), but in terms of lifting strength, it might be interesting. I will be using this version as it puts light on the sprites, and leaves the standing Susie sprite on screen, making pixelscaling easier. As always, I will be overlapping the frames to measure them. For some reason the original calc uses the distance between the first layer of sound, connecting it to the second layer to the determine movement.- Susie: 261px/205.27cm
- Sound: 222px = 222/261x205.27 = 1.7459m
- Timeframe: 1.7459/343 = 0.00509008746s
- Statue Movement: 338px = 338/261x205.27 = 2.6583m
- Speed: 2.6583/1.7459x343 = 522.25m/s (Supersonic)
- Acceleration: (2*2.6583)/(0.00509008746^2) = 205202.902m/s^2
- Force: 3078.86x205202.902 = 64424.75 Ton-Force (Class M)
Now I take this, and scoop it ALL into a blog.
Which calc do you think is more accurate.
