Mario was just hanging around on Peach's castle, she asked him to unclog the toilet, no one's been able to use it for a week, however when he goes to unclog it... a giant piece of actual living shit starts fighting back... he would ask for extra money from Peach if he survives this first in his plumber carrier

Enhanced Fragrance Manipulation, Biological Manipulation & Limited Data Manipulation (Via Defecation Pheromone; Releases pheromones that forcefully fills both humans and digimon with poop and forces them to defecate, with poop for digimon being waste Data that causes bugs and illness if not removed

And the Data stuff only applies if he actually hits Mario, which given the prior knowledge and higher skill, will be kind of hard to do

The ones relevant for this fight are as far as i can see are:

• Filling him with Poop via his Defecation Pheromone, which if Mario tries to hold it in, will eventually acumulate and corrode him to eventual nonexistence
• Him being poop also makes him so disgusting looking that opponents might just not want to touch him, same effect for the poop he trows
• A bunch of status effects that his attacks can cause, like Paralysis, Poison, Rage, etc, most relevant being Pixel one that:
• Transmutation, Statistics Reduction & Power Nullification (Via Ultimate Poop Bomb; Can inflict the Pixelated status, turning the opponent into a much weaker pixel form that cannot use special moves or block attacks)
• Bunch of abilities to enhance all stats

I dont think mario is gonna let poop be thrown at him, he has nice attack reflection and dealt with numerous projectile attacks, for the fragrance stuff. Maybe you can argue metal cap blocks it? Since in 64 he can use Metal Cap to block strong smells. Since thats a feature of the metal cap while navigating the toxic smoke or fumes in hazy maze cave. I dont have an exact scan however

I don't see any transmutation resistance on Scumon's profile or on the Digimon Verse-specific Powers pages so Mario's transmutation options should work here. Other than that he can freeze Scumon with the ice Flower, possess Scumon with Cappy, summon Zeekeeper with the Zee Egg, etc.

Actually they do. Even Low Tier Digimon have Resistance to Data Manipulation (Digimon) in all it's forms... inculding transmutation.

Masked doesn't think Mario can purify Scumon's various effects, due to Data Shenanigans™.
Reducing Mario's intelligence is a nasty trick that Masked doesn't see often
Also, Homing Attack from Tyumon is going to hurt

Mario has various resurrections, although not sure how they interact with Digimon hax
Mario is more skilled, although not to a ridiculous extent.
Most of Mario's intelligence is tied up in various miscellaneous professions.

Scumon isn't very intelligent, though, so it's probably not going to capitalize on its advantages as quickly as Mario can.

Nope... Again Data Manipulation (Digimon) includes Transmutation as well... all Digimon Power Tiers have resistance to Data Manipulation.
