Honkai: Star Rail Discussion Thread

Lets write a being that transcends time space and dimensions but make them only vaguely comparable to a singular barrier

I get how certain parts of the first half of Amphoreus felt a bit excessively long but I think those patches were still really important since it was establishing Amphoreus from the perspective of how its natives knew it and having us connect with the Chrysos Heirs on a personal level as we tried to re-establish contact with the Express. Without it, the audience would've probably not cared as much about the Heirs and the reveal of the actual stakes on Amphoreus in 3.4 wouldn't have hit as hard as a result.

I mean, genuinely speaking, isn’t Cocoon just a civilization that fused with its own planet…? It became hella strong after that but isn’t that sorta implying it’s power is comparable to just an entire leaf/branch if all a civilization is is literally just a leaf/branch?

im not sure why it wouldnt be comparable to the soq seeing as Sa absorbed energy from the entire soq for 250 million years and wasnt even comparable to 1/10th

Ok but tbf that was the second half and yeah I agree with 3.5 being a really divisive patch. Zandar/Lygus was really good throughout all of it, but Cerydra and Hysilens had really poor execution imo which was a shame since Cerydra's character story in her profile is really cool. TB getting kidnapped for a 1000 years was just hot garbage tho, and the way they presented the consequences of it was so monotonous that even though I knew that it should've been an emotional part of the story, I didn't feel a thing going through that part.
 
btw applying the threads, the only one affected by phantylia scaling is SH and dhil cus the tb and march keys just combine it with aventurine scaling 😭

Lowkey not even sure if it scales to anything but its crazy that sa used to do this across entire soq and got only size of 1/10th of cof and got one shot by casual kiana JUST for marah to say abyss (likely just honkai) = img barrier

Shaoji likes throwing extremely big numbers but doesn’t seem to grasp how those numbers become incomprehensible after a point
TB got put in timeout for 1000 years, Dan Heng searched for TB for 1000 years, Phainon’s cycles, Cyrene dying over and over again idc brah
 
I think Cerydra and Hysilens should not be blamed for their stories falling flat and we should accept that it was kind of impossible to make the audience care as much about the last two native Chrysos Heirs compared to the previous ones that late into the story right after the bombshell that was 3.4.

For some reason those statements don’t portray it as being equivalent to the entire Sea to me.

You’d have to assert that she absorbed all of it, otherwise we’d give Aeons High 1-C from “directly attaining power from the imaginary”.

It just seems like she’s absorbing it like a solar panel absorbs the energy of the sun

Otherwise with statements like ts:

Just apply the Sting one, leave the Phantylia scaling (just keep everyone fighting Phantylia to be 3-C unless Planck & Viet agreed)

Dude I don't care about this, the problem is that Planck and Viet never agreed with Astral Express crew downscaling to 4-C despite fighting Phantylia who's 3-C and tanked a High 4-C attack so yeah no shit they're 3-C instead of 4-C
