?? he was relevant as a character to phainon, castorice, the flamechase, kremnos, holding back the tide, saving us from the fr etc etc. you are confused. not every character needs to be relevant in the cosmic grand scheme of things to be interesting or important. mydei's characterization is rich and he is one of the most unique characters in the verse

After 2.1 he was irrelevant to the entire plot of amphoreus. Actually everything pre end of 3.3 was pretty much irrelevant cus we started getting into the actual story aka irontomb what does kremnos have to do with irontomb again..?

Like dont get me wrong i think the original elysian realm arc has similar problems where characters are just irrelevant in the story the difference is that they had their own little arcs to grow their character so when the big arc came (elysium everlasting) we could actually care about these characters despite them not doing much overall, theres still some characters like griseo and kosma that are kinda just there but mobius aponia kalpas Su kebin (though his arc is later so you can exclude him if you want) and fu hua who arent really important (less on kalpas since he actually is pretty important and fu hua near the end i guess) in the main story already were expanded upon so they didnt feel like a waste unlike characters like aglaea, tribbie, cipher, mydei, hyacine, cerydra hell even smallrene till 3.7

Nothing jarillo added to its story was irrelevant tho even to amphoreus kremnos is irrelevant to the overall story of amphoreus and actually belabog is relevant to the cosmos they’re allied with the xienzhou and ipc and hell they were just in planarcadia.

Do you know how much that entire conversation ***** up the cosmology? Even when not talking about powerscaling it makes zero sense at all and is contradicted by not only other installments of the franchise but the same exact game
