Invincible Season 4 General Discussion Thread

More than three times? Werent it retconnected once lol, it's about Servantis how his story being a complete lie after all
Okay let me remember:
-he said that he didn't have parents and he was just born with this powers
-then we got the reveal that his father was part of the plumbers (this was fake), retconning the fact that his parents weren't special (i consider this a retcon because Max says jackcrap about Kevin or something related to his father)
-Then comes the retcon of him being a mutant and instead he is a Osmosian
-Then comes the retcon of Aggregor too.

No? He said his parents kicked him out from the home as he destroyed their home actually in classic also it was mentioned in ua as well

Ye his father stuff is fake that's the retcon

He is still Osmosian but Osmosian doesn't mean he is an alien Osmosian a term that Servantis made up, Osmosian means Humans with super abilities
-Then comes the retcon of Aggregor too.
That's actually never mentioned in the show Aggregor's situation is kind of unknown and this is special to greg not actually kevin, basically all of his story retconned at once him not being an alien, not having a father he used to think and his thing being hunting Ben down

I think the specifics on Viltrum's gravity compared to Earth's gravity only being provided for the comic version would get in the way of using that exact method to figure out the TV version's size.

Cause they did this BEFORE reaching the core

They couldn't be canon to each other. Different, conflicting events take place between the comics and the TV show.
Probably both take place in the same multiverse/cosmology but are clearly two different continuities, Damien Darkblood returning from Hell being among the biggest changes from the comics to the show.

Inb4 BB eventually gets his own animated special that's just an animated adaptation of his prequel comics series lol!

I was wondering about a scenario. What if a Raganar showed up on earth before the Viltrumites had moved there. Meaning S1-S4. Kinda like how Doomsday did in Death of Superman.

How much do you think the story changes ?

Someone should move the general DT link to here instead of the 3rd season DT

I just realised. The show had Thragg pierce Nolan when he was standing still talking to Mark, while the comics had Thragg do it when Nolan was flying at his max speed

Thats a major blow cuz the comic feat was like the major justification for Viltrumites like Mark and Thragg scaling to MFTL+ in combat speed via travel speed nonsense

And I don’t think Thragg flew and attacked at max speed against an off guarded Nolan here

The show gave us more feats tho, like Thragg moving his head to block Mark flying at him as fast as he could or Thragg reacting to Nolan flying at him and Oliver flying at him.

Oliver really is a liability though. Like getting nearly ripped in half and head popped by Conquest wasn't enough to teach him to stay away from the big dawgs.

Also Invincible Versus is coming April 30. I am more so looking forward to ripping out the character models for cinematics.

This might be controversial, but I really like that the show buffed all the viltrumites to be on roughly the same level as opposed to weak ones being gored by single punches of strong viltrumites. It really makes them feel like an actual race of people and makes them much more intimidating when you can reasonably assume every one of them can pull off the same feats Nolan has done. I also liked how they treated Ragnars in the show as being above viltrumites but still comparable so that they can be killed one-on-one by viltrumites. Them being above pre-timeskip Thragg never sat well with me.

I actually liked that Ragnarr's were that much stronger.

Ragnarrs being to Viltrumites what the grizzly is to a human, is something far cooler.

To each their own. I like the narrative that the race of supermen feared throughout the universe as unstoppable can reasonably overcome any creature in the universe with skill as opposed to being complete fodder to a random alien race that has high gravity on their planet. It highlights their battle skill when they need to fight strategically to win against them which is something we almost never see. Ragnars being unstoppable tanks that no viltrumite can beat alone results in really boring conflicts between the two.

That's a really contradictory take. Viltrumites a race known to rely on individual strength being forced to work together in order to take out a beast if anything is far more interesting.

Viltrumites being able to beat any and everything is what's really boring.

Yes, obviously Nolan is easily one of the strongest Viltrumites ever, but he isn't so above the rest that he could just easily kill all the others with no effort, there are Viltrumites that aren't in the same range like Thula being inferior to Anissa and Nolan, then there's Thragg, who's obviously above all of them by a wide margin

Consistent with this
https://www.deviantart.com/ryanottl...5737891#:~:text=This page was,was born. Enjoy!

This page was particularly different than most because Robert said in the script that I can do whatever I'd like, just make them both fighting. So I sat there and imagined what this fight would be like. I definitely didn't want them just trading punches, I could have went that route but I wanted to ground it a lot more. Thragg is definitely faster and stronger. So how can Battle Beast one up Thragg? Got it! Close combat, sneak a bite in! So that's basically how this spread was born. Enjoy!

exactly. I'm sure people are gonna take the first statement at face value but he literally goes on to say Thagg>BB in speed and strength doesn't mean Thragg just gets a free dub
