Fnaf at freddys discussion thread!

Should probably make a list of all those who would chainscale, I have a rough idea of some of them but I'm gonna have to look over all the profiles to make sure I'm not missing anyone

But yeah I think we're generally on the same page tho
ig, but I'm still on page that Edwin should downscale even if we don't use the audio log.

considering the fact the mimic can quickly kill people, (The Sotm jumpscares) with some of them not even using LS (Once again, Mimic's Jumpscare in Sotm)

I've heard the FNAF old encyclopedia was terrible (tho I don't have it to confirm)

but I will say this cover for the updated one is peak, and if the old encyclopedia is terrible, then I hope this one could be good

Hopefully it being updated fixes all the problems the og one had lol

It's a pretty cool cover, having the Puppet sit ontop of Lefty is a fun nod

Well if we scale the humans to the value, then basically the entire verse would be in the ~1 Megajoule range.

Also roughly the chain scale would be:

Edwin = Henry < Michael = Ralph = Arnold =/< (Equal to, possibly superior) William (William's sprite in FNaF 2 has a guard badge, or appears to. So it's plausible that William was a guard at some point)

Now for the animatronics (starting with William as a good starting point):

William < FNaF 1 Animatronics = Toy Animatronics < Funtime Animatronics = Rockstar Animatronics =/< Springtrap/Scraptrap < Glamrock Animatronics < The Mimic < The Blob

the only thing I would confused about here
is when the 5 megajoule Monty feat gets calced. since The Mimic only fought a more weakened Roxy due to her being well broken, and the feat was done by a fully built Monty

but then again, The Mimic did overpower Roxy after a while

question for you knowledgable fnaf scalers, why is William scaling to the Fnaf 1 crew a possiblity? I know it being in a minigame is what's calling into question but, in the insanity ending of Pizza Sim, something we use for the scooper having remnant, Henry describes said minigame as a thing that happened and that william "overpowered them".
I'm super curious

To help support the idea William being on the same level of the security guards, he is also pretty heavily implied to be the day guard in Fnaf 2

Mike is a better starting point tbh as most of these characters get direct showings against him (The Classics, The Toys, The Funtimes, Springtrap/Scraptrap, & Lefty are all capable of killing him) but yeah this scaling chain seems right otherwise

Eh I think the fact a heavily damaged Roxy is capable of holding The Mimic shouldn't make the latter scale to a healthy Roxy

Plus Monty is the physically strongest of the glamrocks
Monty > Roxy > Ruin Roxy = The Mimic

Don't think The Mimic would scale to the 5 megajoule feat (Also what's the 5 megajoule feat?)

Monty catching the gator golf bucket was in the 4-5 megajoule range.

there's a calc here about from the feat of Roxy getting Go-Karted by Gregory, but I don't think we could really use it, if it gets recalced
I'm not sure what the person was yapping about with the KE thing, the KE of the go kart is what launched her into the wall which broke her. KE only scales if you tank it and are slammed into a solid surface in the first place

There's a reason getting hit by a car common feat is split into hitting into a wall and only being launched

The endo thing also doesn't really make sense since the shell, an "armor" that covers the entire endo, is what's taking most of the force there. The Endo is fundamentally taking less than the full value

Current scaling chain for FNAF goes

William floats around

FNaF2 Animatronics sans Puppet< FNAF1 Animatronics< Springtrap=SL/Pizzaria Animatronics(including puppet) Break in scaling. Security bots<Glamrock Animatronics=Mimic<<Blob

There's nothing connecting the rockstars to the modern bots.

When you said Rockstars=Mimic you were meaning the Glamrocks right?

So just to be clear, we are planning on scaling the humans to the mimic feat thanks to Edwin, with the animatronics upscaling that value? Or is it something else?

Sorry to appear ignorant but may I ask why?
He died years before anyone but William and Henry were actually active? Like, the guy's not very combative until brought to his literal breaking point, so neither of them would have fought him.

Ah.

I think the reason I believe we can scale Edwin to the others is because they are night guards and have training, as well as being more physically fit as a result of the job (Ralph did literally nothing but run, crawl, or walk away from the animatronics for basically 75% of TWB, Arnold shrugs off falls several stories high, Michael can withstand jumpscares from the animatronics and still stay/go to work, and run a successful business all at once, and William has been consistently shown to tear apart animatronics). From what we see in-game, Edwin is a regular guy inverse. So I don't see why the guards shouldn't scale to Edwin.

That's not an excuse to scale to him. You'd need legitimate feats on his level to even justify it, and nobody actually has it. For all we know he could just be strong AF, since he did physically make a lot of the suits, and contrary to popular belief, engineering of that level is actually hard on the body.

Well we can agree to disagree. Arguing won't get anything done and the acceptance/rejection of the potential CRT will determine the outcome I guess.

Because we don’t know if he overpowered them via bare hands as the minigames with unreliable visuals show or he is meant to have done that with weapon of sorts like in popular “Die in a Fire” fan song.

William < FNaF 1 Animatronics = Toy Animatronics < Funtime Animatronics = Rockstar Animatronics =/< Springtrap/Scraptrap < Glamrock Animatronics < The Mimic < The Blob
I wouldn't put springtrap as possibly superior to the funtimes. The funtimes upscale all animatronics from their time because, unlike most other animatronics, including the springlocks, this ones were actually made to kill, indicating the Funtimes' superiority to both Fredbear and Springbonnie/trap. It would be:

William < FNaF 1 Animatronics = Toy Animatronics < Springtrap/Scraptrap = Rockstar Animatronics =/< Funtime Animatronics < Glamrock Animatronics < The Mimic < The Blob

Makes sense, probably shouldve factored that in lol.

So what actually makes the toys comparable to animatronics improved upon for years after?

You mean the fnaf 1 animatronics? I mean, they have a more advanced endoskeleton (Endo 02> Endo 01), are comparable to the withereds which were larger and bulkier than the fnaf 1 animatronics, and were made with parts of the Withereds.

The fnaf 1 pizzeria is way smaller and in worse condition than the fnaf 2 one, indicating a budget cut, and the fact they are using worse endoskeletons seems to indicate they had to downgrade the withereds to some degree, so at the very least comparable.

So in other words, no not really. Bigger and bulkier does not mean anything when it comes to robotics, otherwise withereds>Toys

Plus, isn't the advanced endoskeleton thing from an unreliable book?

There's the book, yeah, but there's also the name of the animatronic itself Endo 02 should logically come after Endo 01. But mostly, is that:

The Toys were made with an abundance of budget and investment, they did not hold back with them. They are a little older, yeah, but not by that much.

The fnaf 1 are 5 years younger, yeah, bu they clearly had much tighter budgetary restrictions. Also, you don't call a newer Endo its 1.0 version if you already have its 2.0 version. If you use that name you are obviously using something older.

The book is complementary, and even then, what was it that the book had wrong? IIRC it was mostly game appearances, or similar things, not much about the actual texts. Although I could be misremembering, been a hot minute since we discussed about it.

i mean i guess but the fact that it's canon that William 100% overpowered the FNAF 1 animatronics should be something and we can't assume that he used some tool cuz a fan song may assume so
like, I'm not quite sure how I'd retify on profile but it should 100% be a feat and not a possibility

It's not based off the song. it's based off the fact the visuals in general are unreliable since it's being shown through the freddy's arcade game artstyle. It's simplified, and how simplified is unknown. A possibly rating on the feat is completely fine.

"Possibly"
looks inside
  • did the feat repeatedly on strong characters through (admittedly) unknown physical means
  • stated to have done the feat and to have overpowered said characters
what do fnaf scalers mean by this

In the week before book, Phone Guy kicks off Bonnies head (On Night 5). There is also a scenario where Bonnie's head screws were loose because he removed his own head (Night 3?). However, the only way to progress from that scenario onwards is to use a screwdriver to retighten the screws. It's either you use a screwdriber and progress, you use your fingers (You're fired because his head falls off at a Kid's birthday party the next day), or you place his head back and just turn it either side and Bonnie simply snaps your neck. If Ralph in an enraged state could do this, I am sure William Afton could too
