Madness Combat Discussion Thread: Redeemer

To be honest, I don't really agree with this, the player merges with nowhere after he defeats the grand steward. And also, the Nowhere is the maker's personal realm which is beyond the machine, so it would create scaling issues.
I also don't really see scaling issues unless you are going to chainscale protagonist's feats to everyone in the verse

I mean, do we have any reason to suggest that right after defeating the Grand Steward Protagonist became drastically stronger?
Technically by merging with The Nowhere that's when the protagonist becomes drastically stronger.

I'm pretty sure this is when he actually loses all of his powers? Like, I always saw this as him giving up his story and powers in order to prevent The Nowhere from consuming Nevada

I believe that even in-game dialogues described it in this way

It's kind of BOTH. when he does the sacrifice that's technically the peak of his power, if i recall correctly the maker even describes it as The Protagonist actually controlling the machine before resetting the universe. He basically reaches a peak of power for like, half a second before he's returned to Marsh Mellow Madness.

I don't remember anything about us controlling The Machine, but I will recheack all info later. I only recall The Maker implying that Protagonist is controlled by the real life player and he even mentioned our combined power and stating that Nevada won't survive it without us (right before facing Grand Steward, btw)

I’d just like to note my opinion on it, city level main cast like Hank and Sanford would likely be considered an outlier.

Mag agents and stuff? Still feels like an outlier but to a lesser degree, passable maybe.

I think it makes sense for Gestalt. Wasn't he empowering the background buildings and making ligh to work here in his final boss?

I have no idea, I hadn’t heard about that before. If he’s able to power a city anyways, he’s got grounds to scale to it.

Basic mag agents obviously don’t scale to full power gestalt though, so basic mag agents just have scaling to The Hive.

I vividly remember that during fight with Apothic Gestalt windows inside buildings on the outskirts of Nexus City were flashed as if they had working light, these parts of City were abandoned and I don't recall anywhere else seeing buildings with light inside outside of this boss, because of this and the fact that we literally see dissonant lighting and thunder caused by Gestalt across City's perimeter, I always assumed that it was Gestalt who casted such sensations

Yeah I agree to be honest. And The Hive doesnt really seem to take full power from the tower.

However, I think its fair to use it to get Geatalt higher in into Tier 7, considering he has more s-3lf energy which can power the nexus city.

I've calced half-mags at 2.74 meters tall, so everyone around the size of a half-mag gets large size 0

I'm not totally sure if it scales to Retainer since Retainer is clearly smaller than Half Mags in cartoons

By the way, I probably will later update and try to add some additional information in this blog
I finished my blog on madness verse being metaphysical and underlined in information. I'm not sure if I can post it here if it's against the site rules to promote things on other wikis. But if you want, you can use the information in blog (just credit me if you use specific argumentations)

i think it's fine to post it in the general discussion.

I personally already read the stuff on the fictional indexing wiki you got going.
