Green Arrow vs Spider-Woman(Green Arrow{DC Comics} vs Hornet{Hollow Knight Verse}) 4-2-5

hold on a minute I think we're all underestimating green arrow, he's got incredible aim and marksmanship and can fire several arrows at once. even a single hit could potentially be fatal for hornet. in addition, he has explosive arrows which would definitely do serious damage to hornet. If I recall correctly, he's also got tornado arrows that create quite a decently large AOE vortex of wind which could trap hornet and make her vulnerable to say a barrage of exploding arrows
Underestimating him? The current consensus is that he's evenly matched with Hornet and that this would most likely be an incon, so I don't see how we're underestimating him.
Hornet has survived getting hit by explosions before so unless Green Arrow uses his Quantum Arrows then it probably won't be fatal for her,
Hornet has the superior Lifting Strength so I don't think the Tornado Arrows would work against her.
 
No matter how well-aimed an arrow is still an arrow and being a decent bit faster Hornet can just dodge or deflect, or do a variety of other things. Trick arrows are a concern for sure but she's not so below him in stats that she can't take a few hits

I didn't even consider quantum arrows at first but yes those will deal serious damage but even his standard arrows will deal quite a bit of damage considering the 3+ times AP gap and Green Arrow is no stranger to fighting characters faster than himself

Sure but Hornet isn't exactly lacking in ways to counter this. She can use her own techniques to shield herself, she can hookshot out of the way, protect herself with Warding Bell and so on. She can survive fairly significant wounds too thanks to her regen.

As I said, I vote incon, leaning towards Hornet so if people vote for her I can switch. The GA arguments are fine as is though I don't think he needs to elaborate more.

I vote for Hornet, due to its high regeneration. The only win condition I see for Green Arrow is a one-shot, which isn't even certain due to Magnetite Dice and Warding Bell.

btw Shouldn't the Hornet Weaver Queen have her regeneration balanced with GMS? Because I just noticed by accident that it isn't.

So first of all not only does Green Arrow have experience against faster opponents, he has incredible marksmanship and given the AP gap, even a slight stagger could leave Hornet vulnerable to a barrage of AOE explosive arrows. In addition, I don't think Hornet can keep healing forever. there's also the fact that Green Arrow, while not known for his tactics, is still a decently skilled archer with high tactical thinking. Once he notices of how and when Hornet is healing, he would target Hornet during those periods. Getting hit while healing is essentially a death sentence for Hornet. AOE explosive arrows ensure Hornet has a very hard time getting close.

She can also block it using her Forcefield Creation(Warding Bell), and has a chance of negating the damage with her Magnetite Dice so she's not short options for dealing with that.
In addition, I don't think Hornet can keep healing forever. there's also the fact that Green Arrow, while not known for his tactics, is still a decently skilled archer with high tactical thinking.
Hornet herself is a fairly skilled tactician having fought and bested numerous foes during her time.

If she has to heal she'll likely do it behind a tree or a rock, so that GA doesn't have a clear shot. In the same fashion she could attempt stealth. Ollie's very good at detecting people so it won't let her get the drop on him but it's not unlikely that she can use it to at least get closer.

There's a few seconds needed to regenerate the silk. Though admittedly this is a bit weird because as a boss Hornet has no such restriction, so it's possible this is a partial gameplay thing. Either way relatively spammable but not constantly so.

well green arrow's great range and marksmanship would help mitigate the speed gap plus the longer the fight goes on, the more the cover is gonna be cleared making it easier for Hornet to be sniped, i'd still say green Arrow eventually wins with extreme difficulty

Sure but Hornet still isn't devoid of options when that's going on. She can deflect attacks with her weapon, move out of the way and so on. I don't disagree Ollie can catch her off-guard but with her sheer mobility he also doesn't have that much time before she's up close, she can hookshot across dozens of meters at once, is extremely acrobatic and has the Silkspeed Anklets equipped which let her run even faster.

Hornet is mobile enough that she can just reposition to different areas that haven't been destroyed, I think "clearing all cover" is a bit of a strange claim given SBA is in central park, a place with no shortage of random stuff to hide behind. Oliver also probably isn't carrying literal dozens of explosive arrows and since all of his trick arrows are optional equipment he might not have the really deadly stuff on hand. (Though he's almost certainly got explosive arrows, those are very common gear for him) A lot of other such arrows, like freeze arrows, fire arrows and anything based on restraining Hornet, won't be effective due to her resistances and high LS.

Well I don't believe it was ever confirmed how many arrows he has...maybe more knowledgable DC people can comment on that

It requires a bunch of Silk, and the act of binding forces her to stay in place for a moment. It's situational.
 
He could. He also could feasibly fail to, which is why I'm leaning incon.
