Deku has done way more with that 1 year than chad has done with his several which is why i'm a bit skeptical about skill.

Like maybe with technical skill you can argue chad has an advantage there with experience but what about analytical skill? What about on the fly thinking? These types matter as well and deku off the top of my head actually has feats for these.

The most Chad got was Shunsui stating he could've been hurt if Chad's last, superboosted attack hit. Shunsui was massively above his level the entire fight, without even using his swords, let alone his Shikai. He beat Chad using his swords, but he honestly could've done it without them.
