Jujutsu Kaisen Discussion Page #1

So the three characteristics needed for anime profiles are popularity, a different enough story and different feats and scaling.

The JJK anime easily has enough popularity and a different enough scaling. The problem is the lack of differences in the story.

It could qualify i feel like as it meets most of the standards.
 
Please for the love of all the gods i don't believe in PLEASE make Anime specific Profiles.

I wanna pit Anime Miwa and Manga Sukuna against each other and it somehow be a close fight(Trust in the Animation Upscale).
 
We should wait until season 3 end to try to make anime profiles. If Mach 3 is also in the anime theres not that much of a point on anime profiles.

I hope noone does a low quality thread ahead of time and messes it up. I am already working on how the thread should be.

For the time being we should just make calcs and compile new abilities from the anime.

The scaling needs to be distinct from the manga. I doubt the same feat with different pixel scaling qualifies but I could be wrong. Would also just throw out what qualifies for canonicity on site too no?

The scaling IS distinct.
First of all we dont have any transonic cap in the anime and we have to see if theres a Mach 3 one. If there isnt the scaling is obviously different.
Second of all we wont be just using manga feats with anime pixelscaling. Most of the main feats will be new from the anime.

Projection sorcery is in the anime, so the cap is there as well. I'm saying the only difference is pixel scaling being different, the verse will still have the same feats calculated and then non canon feats like Sukuna vs Mahoraga's fight.

One of the limitations says that characters can't be allowed just because of their extent of power unless they have their own feats, and serve a different role and purpose.
4) Franchises which contain non-canonical spin-offs/movies/videogames, et cetera, each with their own continuities and feats, yet not to the extent that Marvel and DC Comics do, should only be allowed profiles for notable original characters from said spin-offs, and not alternate versions of canonical characters, unless they are very prominent and notable.

Ex: Main villains from non-canonical movies of Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, One Piece and the like can be allowed profiles, yet most versions of Son Goku contained in games such as Shin Budokai should not, as the only difference they hold from Canon Goku lies in their extent of power. However, given the prominence and popularity of Dragon Ball GT, alternative versions of Goku and Vegeta from this continuity have been allowed. If the alternate non-canonical version of a character is notable enough in the sense of having their own feats, and a different role and purpose, then it is possible that profiles for them can be created.

The key issue overall is notability/relevance. If a spin-off version of a character is very popular, prominent, and distinctive from the original, with a sufficient number of feats or descriptions to scale from, it can generally be featured.

However, if it is obscure, does not have enough of a distinctive story to even qualify as a separate character (such as if it originates within a fighting game), and very limited information to scale the statistics from, it should likely not be featured.

This reads to me that the greater qualifier is the story or character needs to be written differently to be allowed.
 
what would dabura stats be?
he should at least be > ryu since he could demolish a mahoraga who spun his wheel several times, whereas mahoraga with 1 spin was able to deflect 15f sukuna slashes

or will we take the statement of him being = sukuna and outright scale him to 20f sukuna?
 
Makora is useless for scaling due to accelerated development. Not sure why Ryu would be relevant, since he'd realistically be tanking 15F Sukuna's Dismantles like a champ.

He's called a calamity, something only Sukuna's been called.
Dabura(as it stands right now)=Sukuna before going on to surpass him

dismantle still left a big wound, but thats irrelevant cuz as u said mahoraga cant be a measuring stick
