As the title suggests, I'll be adding Antimatter Manipulation and Matter Manipulation (Macro-Quantum) to the Ultra Series. Where does this come from? It comes from Episode 14 of Ultraman Gaia, which features 'Antimatter' (both the Kaiju and the substance itself). So, without making this longer than it has to be, let's get right into it.

What is Antimatter?

To understand why the Ultras resist this ability, we have to understand the ability itself.

XIG headquarters detected a Gamma Ray Burst at the Trojan asteroid belt near Jupiter, caused by the explosion of an asteroid. Gamu explained that this was caused by the collision of matter and antimatter. Antimatter is matter with a charge inverse to ours, comprised of antiprotons, antineutrons, and positrons. The one who caused the explosion is none other than Antimatter (the Kaiju) itself, as stated by the ODF databook.

Dr. Hoshiyama of the Quantum Mechanics Dept. explained that when the Earth was born, both matter and antimatter were brought into existence. As Gamu stated, their charges are completely reversed. If 1g of antimatter were to interact with matter, it would generate an explosion with an energy of 10e+14 Joules. Now, picture a gigantic body of antimatter (the Kaiju) interacting with Earth. The result? Earth and the solar system would be vaporized, leaving no trace.

Fujimiya, a star student at Alchemy Stars and Ultraman Agul's host, stated that in the beginning, the universe had a little bit more matter than antimatter; that's why we have the universe now. The rest of the antimatter was locked into another dimension. Antimatter's goal is to turn the Earth into antimatter, consequently destroying the universe to recreate it as an antimatter universe. This is further strengthened in the ODF (databook), which stated that Antimatter was going to annihilate the universe to pave the way for recreating it into an antimatter universe.

Do Ultras Resist Antimatter?

Gamu, pissed off that Antimatter is going to blow up the entire universe to create an antimatter one, tries to transform into Ultraman Gaia but is stopped by Fujimiya. Fujimiya states that there would be a massive explosion (Gamma Ray Burst) if Gaia's body came into contact with the antimatter. However, Fujimiya never worried about what would happen to Gamu—only the Earth. This is further supported by the fact that Agul was able to turn Gaia into an antimatter Ultraman without any side effects whatsoever.

Conclusion

  • Antimatter gains Antimatter Manipulation and Matter Manipulation (Macro-Quantum) for being able to manipulate antimatter and its constituent particles, such as antiprotons, antineutrons, and positrons.
  • Antimatter gains Explosion Manipulation, Light Manipulation, and Radiation Manipulation for being able to cause a Gamma Ray Burst when its antimatter comes into collision with matter. The radiation emitted by Antimatter's GRB would be 83.6 billion grays (to be honest, I'm iffy on using this value, as the accepted blog used for this in Garou's profile didn't mention a reason why they used the upper limit of a GRB's radiation).
  • Ultraman Gaia (and other Ultras, thanks to Ultra Physiology) gains resistance to Antimatter Manipulation and Matter Manipulation (Macro-Quantum) for being unaffected by Antimatter and Agul's ability to manipulate his matter properties on that level.
  • Ultraman Gaia (and other Ultras, thanks to Ultra Physiology) gains resistance to Explosion Manipulation, Light Manipulation, and Radiation Manipulation for being unaffected by a GRB's explosion, as implied by Agul.

First CRT of the year

Agree with Antimatter, Matter Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation, Light Manipulation and resistances to them, neutral on Radiation Manipulation and resistance to it

Looks fine, specially since they have already shown Matter Manip. That said, they're only gaining resistance to Anti-Matter manip and Radiation manip. You can't resist explosion manipulation

Alright, so no resistance to Explosion Manipulation, but what about Light Manipulation? GRBs are intense light explosions, after all.

Idk. Light Manip in fiction is not usually an offensive hax in the same way Ice or Mind Manip is. I think it might be better asking a staff

Alright, guess that sums up this revision.

Now we wait for the 24 hour grace period.
