that's the diameter of the thing also its 6km^2 if we want to be padentic for detail, the dust knock up judging from the clouds is around 10km or a bit more than that.

its not them exploding its them turning to smoke/dust and yuji's dismantle releasing so much force it actively kicked all of that shit straight into the stratosphere

Last week, for some reason, some people stubbornly claimed that Dabura's kick was sub-light speed. Now, however, some are claiming that one of the explosions belonged to Tsurugi, despite the fact that we were shown both Dabura activating CTR and Yuji throwing a dismantle, and then the explosions were shown immediately afterward.
Paging may not be understood, but what is being captured here is two immense displays of power happening simultaneously elsewhere, during a duel between two individuals.

When you look at the panel there's a specific cursed spirit that Maru sees that you can see get slashed when Tsurugi swings the blade and the slash is consistent with where Tsurugi is relative to them.

So the new chapter was ******* awesome. But as amazing as it was, I think it's too soon to make crazy assumptions regarding the size of this dust cloud. Uraume explicitly said that cursed spirits turn to dust, and given Yuji and Rika took care of a huge horde of them, that plays a big factor in the feat. Guess we'll have to wait until the next chapter to see the after-effects.
But regardless, Yuji is a beast. He might really dethrone Sukuna and Gojo. Dabura is also showing crazy feats: making a RCT on the spot like this is insane.

bit of an issue here if you look at the next page after the cloud kick up you see tsurika still standing in the same possition and same stance, he fella didn't move like at all same stance with him being low to the ground and having the soul split over his left shoulder and all of that is before he dashes at maru and actually cuts him

Well, Rika specifically told Tsurugi to swing with all he's got, and she'll put power behind it and somehow a full-power Tsurika sword swing could only give a shallow cut?
As of now I'm leaning towards Tsurika being the cause of the second explosion given the context provided by 3 different things.
This and also, I doubt Rika would've known Yuji would take down the curses for her and the additional fact that the slash she ended up doing was shallow despite the fact she and Tsurugi apparently swung at full power.

- Rika and Yuji both were shown side by side while they were attacking the curses
- The curses that Maru saw is consistent with the curses Rika cut down

there is a bit of thing in chapter that makes me think that the whole shallow cut thing referce to the fact that tsurugi hasn't achived his whole HR fully as that is whats needed for soul split to actually do its thing (seeing the soul of an object and all that) and its further reinforced with the whole "even faster with the binding that let go of your power" thing at the end of the chapter implying that tsurugi finally got a full HR active after rika took everything he had (what ever little it was)

I doubt it's due to that, even with a normal sword a FP Swing from Tsurika should've done something at least but it did even worse than usual. Unless Rika used all her CE to blast away those curses and some sort of binding vow to take Tsurugi's with her too

Just a thought that came to mind, if it is dust being released from the curses, would it realistically scale to anyone? Cause it's not entirely coming from their own power it's just coming from the curses disintegrating.

we see curses disintegrate before and its not this violent at all its usually just smoke floating away what happens here is either yuji or yuji and tsurika hit all the curses with so much force that after they turn to dust/smoke the excess force of the slashes sends all of that smoke/dust literal miles into the sky and that is the only logical approach because I don't care how many smoke granades you set off in one spot they are not instantly kicking up to 10+ miles into the sky

From what I can gather, it seems like Rika put all of her remaining power into eliminating the cursed spirits. Why else would her head suddenly just fall off? Maru didn't seem to attack or counter the initial bladed attack, so it seems evident that Rika had expended their power, likely took away Tsurugi's remaining CE so he could be fully awakened.

think about it like this here slash:
sukuna sends it at maho and we see the slash rip through maho and the ground first but its then followed up by a massive gust of air produced by the kinetic energy behind the slash kicking the dust and debris into he air
same thing is happening here just on a wider scale

I mean considering it's 7km wide and some of those curses need to be as strong as a tank to be killed, is it possibly to get a calc from that?
