Fair enough, I suppose. Would it be worth expanding on the potential practical applications of the Organic Manipulation page? So moving elements of the description of Adhesive Manipulation into it? Or bringing up other effects resulting from organic matter like lubrication?

I believe the Statistics Amplification page and Statistics Reduction page should be combined into one and called "Statistics Manipulation".

I feel that Statistics Reduction is extremely redundant, similar to how Awakened Power was redundant to Statistics Amplification, which is why they ended up merging.

Both Statistics Amplification and Statistics Reduction deal with changing a character's stats. The only real difference is the direction of the change, one raises stats, while the other lowers them. In reality they are the same idea, the same concept: directly manipulating someone's attributes.

Combining them would make it easier to document abilities that affect stats in different ways, for example: Deku's Gearshift, an ability that can both increase and decrease speed.

How about;

Superhuman Processing Speed - The ability at which a character can process several things going at the same time, be it on combat or outside of it that goes beyond a regular person

Example - A person being able to mentally visualize dozens of different trajectories of a danmaku, and calculate a path to dodge them
Example 2 - BB (death note) reading a 376 pages book in under 5 minutes and memorizing each word

and

Multi tasking - The ability at which a character can perform several things at once consciously which is something a regular human cannot do

Example - Being able to keep up with 5 different people simultaneously like Ip man vs 10 black belts
Example 2 - L being capable of processing 5 or more monitors worth of information at once

Reasoning - Both are superhuman (lawl) no regular human can perform any of these, multi tasking and processing speed should also be a supporting evidence for genius intel as both are mentioned as a requirement for it

The way I'll phrase it, I think something needs to be very, very, demonstrably wrong for us to bother with changing an enshrined ability like this. Statistics Amplification and Reduction don't really experience any dysfunction as they currently are, and are understood by many editors; changing them invites a period of confusion.

I think "Statistics Manipulation" might have been better if we had set it up like that when the wiki was first created, or for a few years afterwards, but I don't think it's worth it to make these changes now.

My second proposal only adjusts the current page without changing anything major, and the Stats Reduction page is so barebones it practically looks like a joke by itself. Still, I won't push the argument any further.

I think a change has to be exceptional. This thread is for finding exceptional changes. I don't think this change is exceptional. You're free to stand by your suggestion, I am but one man. But I think it's very little gain for a rather notable amount of confusion, at least for a time. I do think pages could be improved, if that was your goal.

Was brainstorming and wondered if a 'Guaranteed Hit' ability or anything similar would be a viable. It's a pretty notable thing which has quite a few different types of applications, like JJK's Domain Expansions, Gurren Lagann's probability missiles, a swordsman being able to slice objects without touching them, Odin's spear Gungnir, ect. Naturally there is some overlap with other abilities like causality, space, homing, probability, ect, but none of them really act as a general term for such a phenomenon with some just not fitting in any of them

I don't really see the distinction here?
It's still auto-aiming, it's just better at it (Also I think Domain effects hitting right away is a combination of several abilities rather than just auto-aim)

That's why I suggested it being an improved version of Homing Attacks, like another section. Since the current Homing Attacks hard focuses on projectiles following the victim as opposed to just having the attacks automatically hit. It's basically a level of it without a large majority of it's downsides

It's kind of been bugging me for some time, how come we don't have soul/mind destruction listed on the respective soul and mind manipulation pages as a subset? Similarly to how weapon mastery has marksmanship listed as a sub power, I think there is a clear enough distinction between manipulating a mind or soul vs destroying one (not enough to create an entire new page) but specific enough to warrant it having some sort of sub segment I feel. Any thoughts on this?

So, I don't know if this has been proposed before or not, but does anybody think it's worth making an "Enhanced Swimming" page? My reasoning for this is that, at least in my experience, quite a bit of fiction can have characters that are superhumanly fast, but who otherwise lack that mobility in mediums like water and are thus more vulnerable than if they were fighting on land or flying in the air.

Here's a rough draft of what it might look like:

Summary
Enhanced Swimming is the ability to move through water, and potentially other liquids, with greater speed, agility, manoeuvrability and precision than is capable of even an athletic swimmer. This can be achieved through various methods, such as if a character's physiology is adapted for aquatic locomotion, they possess equipment that allows them to travel underwater more effectively or even if they can move through water as though they were flying. In some cases, the user might just simply be capable of incredible swim speeds on their own, though such cases would require fairly notable examples to qualify. They can also potentially qualify if they have shown the ability to swim through more viscous liquids, such as magma, without being notably impeeded.

Limitations

• Unless user also has Underwater Breathing, they can still drown.
• May be slower on land or unable to move away from water.

I think the chief difference between this and Underground Mobility is that the latter is outright supernatural in nature. Swimming is something we do currently. In real life. While not a disqualifier for all abilities (martial arts, acrobatics, etc), this one seems particularly mundane and not worth documenting.

There are a plethora of characters who specifically have a supernatural advantage with underwater mobility compared to normal. As the terrain typically slows down and limit movements for standard fighters where others can either move unimpeded or even boosted through it

The list above certainly includes several who are just vaguely better than a typical human. I don't really want to offer an ability that is "swims as well as any given fish". It's unnecessary bloat at that benchmark. To be relevant for our purposes, I would want fully supernatural abilities, similar to Underground Mobility.

I do agree the list above isnt the best for examples for this. For example there are characters who are more comparable to torpedoes when swimming or a wide variety of equipment specifically tied to moving through the water at extreme speeds (akin to how characters with drill powers have Underground Mobility).
