I think motivational/inspiring music would go with that.Whenever I go to the gym, for some reason, I feel like playing Bloodborne.
Probably still better than the current UN (United Nations) (seriously, imagine veto deadlocks for every CRT and RVR report) but an actual unified world government representing all of life and the Universe would still be the best sort of governance.Imagine if the staff of this site were an actual governing body of a country
Now should we pit the Pauls against Hafthor? (Strongmen who are big enough in height and weight AND trained should be capable of dominating martial arts honestly, it'd be damn hard to actually fight them in either striking or grappling aside from using unorthodox moves, particularly flying/jumping moves.)I promise there's no strategy you could employ to survive 5 against AJ unless you were somewhat competent, and had a decent chin. I'm just giving credit where it's due.
While the action may not have been applied recently, the effect was. So yes, you were "just" thread-banned. I do understand how that may come off worse than it is though.I'll try.
(To be fair it wasn't exactly recent so "just thread-banned" is sorta off (though "justly" as in fairly would be fitting here), but yeah I get what you mean, it shouldn't happen again.)

No different than now, but UN is good with hiding their incompetenceI think motivational/inspiring music would go with that.

Are you gonna apply this same logic to also knock points off of the Saiyan Saga? Because Piccolo goes through the exact same thing. He doesn't outwardly say "mb og, I ****** up."@Metalballrun @DivineAura44 I think another unpopular opinion that basically compounds onto the problems I already have with the Cell Arc (and is an overall problem with the Dragon Ball manga) is that Vegeta was NEVER actually redeemed.
I think to explain my point we need to go over what it means to be redeemed and to go through a redemption arc. Looking at Merriam-Webster's definition for redeem, these definitions seem to matter the most for what we need to discuss:
2. to free from what distresses or harms: such as
a: to free from captivity by payment of ransom
b: to extricate from or help to overcome something detrimental
c: to release from blame or debt : clear
d: to free from the consequences of sin
3. to change for the better : reform
6.
a: to atone for : expiate
Looking at these definitions were can define a redemption arc as a type of character arc where a villainous character ends up making a heel-face turn as they go through the story which ends up causing them to go against their nature and end up doing something that ends up affecting themselves and the setting for the better. It can either be more drastic or gradual, but what matters is that the character is redeemed in the end. A lot of times they are marked by a moment of weakness for the character that ends up causing them to stop and reconsider themselves and they're actions, causing a character shift.
Darth Vader and Omni-Man are really primier examples of a redemption arc done right, as to why they work is their relationship to their sons and the time alotted to have their stories explore and focus on the dynamic of those relationships. It's because of their love for sons that causes them to, in their moment of weakness, reconsider and go against their natures. For Vader it is killing the Emperor upon seeing Luke being tortured, for Omni-Man it's stopping himself from killing Mark and sparing the Earth upon realizing that Mark still loves him in the end and that he would be the only one left in Mark's life after 500 years.
This is not the case for Vegeta, while he may have moments of weakness in the manga they are few and far between, and he never does actually reconsider or have a realization for any of them. The closest he gets to doing so would be during the Freeza arc when he's essentially beaten to a pulp by Freeza and then on death's door upon Freeza's Death Beam. It's when he realizes that there is nothing that he can do, no schemes or trickery will help him this time, Freeza is just too strong, it's up to Goku now to defeat Freeza. But this is not because Goku has a kind or pure heart, or that his method for getting stronger is better, it's because Goku has become a "Super Saiyan" in Vegeta's own words. So when Vegeta is revived, he doesn't really change in terms of character.
I'm sure people here want me to talk about Vegeta raging out against Cell upon seeing Trunks die, but that moment really falls flat for me. Not only is this done to artificially raise the tension and give Gohan a bum arm and some last minute battle damage to make a final struggle look somewhat convincing when previously there wasn't a real fight considering it's a one sided beat down for Cell's side then a one sided beat down for Gohan's side, the dynamic of Trunks and Vegeta's relationship essentially gets dropped upon Cell being introduced. Their relationship was never developed beyond Trunks wanting a father figure and Vegeta not acknowledging Trunks as his son, so Vegeta's rage just feels contrived.
If there is anything else I can say is that Vegeta in the manga (especially after the Freeza arc) is less of a character and more of a plot device, a diabolus ex machina if you will, Toriyama uses Vegeta to make things worse since otherwise it leads to the plot being resolved quicker than Toriyama would like it to. Vegeta has everyone not go after Gero in the beginning because that would end the Cell arc just after Trunks' warning, he lets Cell achieve perfection because not doing so means Cell being defeated before Goku and Gohan have a chance to fight him, he rages against Cell upon Trunks being killed so that Gohan can get injured for the final fight because it would be anti-climactic if Gohan beat Cell without being harmed, he let's himself be controlled by Babidi because the Majin Buu arc would end if Babidi fails to collect any energy, he refuses to fuse again with Goku because otherwise Buu would be defeated too easily and too early.
I think I have made my point by now, Vegeta was never redeemed, and anything he does that is significant to the story ends up doing it for the worst, not better. If Vegeta ever did any reconsideration on his part, it seems to have been done off panel, which simply ruins his case for a redemption arc even more as we do not even get to see for ourselves Vegeta's reconsideration, the important part of redemption in the first place.
... At this point I legitimately wish the following stuff would be broadcasted to every communication channel and platform in existence (and screw it if people hate seeing it because ultimately I think we can agree it's better to be exposed to this than having to see news about conflict and tragedy over and over again, also it's a rant thread so bear with me PLEASE):

I'm not trying to undermine or overshadow any of the previous messages (as in what Homie and Imaginym or anyone else said before this message) with what I'm about to say next, but I feel that such events exemplify why the following is necessary to be said.
I know I'm repeating myself, AGAIN, but I feel like it HAS/NEEDS to be said, because otherwise we're doomed to witness such tragedies occurring/repeating.
I humbly, sincerely request everyone's understanding and patience and kindness/compassion, because, clearly, it's been repeated quite a few times (as shown above) and it's gonna be tiresome to hear over and over (hopefully this is the last time I'm repeating this), but I promise it is necessary in the long run for the good of us all (I could write an entire multiple-page-long (and I mean multiple-forum-page-long) essay on why it is important and keep posting it over and over until I die, but I know no one would bother reading if repeated so many times, so hopefully this is condensed enough, heck I actually hope these become an epitaph on my grave somehow).
Now, more than ever, with the world being as screwed up as it is, this is worth discussing about. I apologise again for this topic being repeated ad nauseam/infinitum, but I hope you all understand why this is necessary.
I've been trying to figure out how to make pacifism, and I mean ABSOLUTE pacifism, where there is no desire to use violence or force AT ALL, work even in the contexts of self-defence and war and whatnot (especially with having to deal with the paradox of tolerance) cause I wanted to find a way to ensure the Platinum Rule could be applied by and to everyone.

(In essence, I'm basically going against the entire basis of powerscaling and fictional matchups and battleboarding as well as the entire concept of militarism and nationalism by opposing the very idea of conflict.
I know this contradicts the stuff I've talked about in the past like capital punishments and weapons and whatnot, but just bear with me, because if the stuff I'm talking about actually comes to fruition, stuff like capital punishment, weapons, war, crimes and law enforcement, military strength, etc will become redundant and meaningless and these tragedies and many others may be hence matters of the past that will NEVER occur again.)
At the end of it, it seems like the only possible way to enforce pacifism, nonviolence, and prevention of harm by any one being to any other being is to ensure that everyone's needs are met in such a way that it is impossible for the harm of any one being to result in a net positive/beneficial/good outcome. In other words, we need to ensure that the only actions that result in a net positive/beneficial/good outcome are themselves positive/beneficial/good.
Essentially we need to erase everything that can in any way be construed as negative/harmful/detrimental/bad to any one being.
No destruction. No violence. No harm. No anger. No sadness. No hatred. No suspicion. No resentment. No sadism or schadenfreude. No masochism. No intolerance. No bias or prejudice or discrimination. No ill intent. No malice. No apathy. No ignorance.
The list goes on, and at some point it'd basically repeat itself because there's only so many unique expressions that can be used before we run out of ways to describe and define what is considered bad.

Instead, we must replace them with what we consider positive/beneficial/helpful/good to all.
Creation. Peace. Aid. Happiness. Contentment. Love. Trust. Compassion. Understanding. Respect. Empathy. Altruism.
Here too, the list goes on and possibly repeats itself because, again, there's only so many unique expressions that can be used before we run out of ways to describe and define what is considered good.

(Again, pardon me if I'm becoming repetitive here but I feel like this should be emphasised and reiterated ad infinitum through all of history, heck, even through all of time and space, so that we continually remind ourselves of what we should do.)
(But goddamn it there's beings that NEED to harm beings in order to fundamentally survive (carnivores, parasites, viruses and prions and disease-causing bacteria and whatnot, etc), and I'm not sure how to help them and prevent harm from being caused by them logically (even stuff like stem-cell cultured food and whatnot would still require harm, even on a microscopic scale, because allowing them to survive and live properly would also mean allowing them to harm others)... We'd need to break all logic and warp reality itself to make that happen. I wish it was possible but we don't have limitless power and abilities. We're not gods.
...
Yeah. It sucks knowing we may never reach that ideal. But at least it's worth dreaming about, because it reminds us of what could be. What we must aim for and strive towards, for fear that if we stop trying, we will fall and succumb to the worst of our urges and impulses.)
Again, as before, I'd appreciate if no one generally holds any sort of preconceived negative notion about this message when reading and responding to it.
(Also, I want to confirm whether what I am saying is generally understandable and morally and ethically agreeable, so I'd probably have to ask people to like the message this time round if they understand and agree with the message, or respond to it if they feel that certain parts need work on them. I hope this is also understandable because I want to facilitate discussion on this topic (though if no one wants to, that's fine, just indicate so in any replying message, I sincerely apologise if I'm bothering anyone but again, I felt this had to be said, and again, it's a rant thread, so hopefully this space is OK for me to post this). I'm bolding/italicising/underlining and increasing the font size and changing font here so more people can see this. Please and thanks for your kind attention and consideration.)
