My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

Man, people are leaking the episodes early. Hopefully, these leakers are dealt with. But from the images I have seen so far, mostly official ones, it looks like another peak episode.

Looks like episode 5 will start directly with Deku vs Shigaraki covering end of chapter 410 and chapters 411, 412, and 413.

Then episode 6 will be 414-416

7 will be 417,18,&19 ending with AFO's scheme.

Then episode 8 will cut to Aizawa for 420, and possibly go all the way to the end of the fight in 423. It is possible they find a way to stretch all this episode 9 and then cover the six epilogue chapters in episodes 10 and 11 with chapters 430 and 431 being adapted in episode 12. Or if the episode count remains the originally reported 11 episodes, things will be much more squeezed up.
 
With the Honoured One pose last episode and now his birth this episode, he truly is Gojo.

I can't wait for That howitzer impact
 
Thinking about it, this episode has the most potential for anime original content. I am betting on All Might vs AFO and that Page of All For One hunting AFO users.

In the staff list there is a mecha AD. There are no mechs in the manga chapters so I wonder what's up with that.
 
So the episode is here. There little extension to adapt the pages into anime which is nice. Loved the howitzer impact it was animated so well. I burst out laughing when Bakugo regained balance just because he wanted to murk a toddler.

Next ep preview we are looking good that powerup shot of Deku is peak. Although being massively nitpicky here but the CG for mass decay is well still very jarring.
 
Not a crazy animation episode but still some VERY nice cuts. Bakugo getting his own United States of Smash was badass.

AFO backstory was super good, well animated, good amount of gore and horror.

There were some low animation moments as well but that just gives me hope that they’re saving even more fluid and good stuff for Overlay / The Final Run.

Also it looked like the anime portrayed Bakugo as actually having absurd control over his explosions, literally firing them forward like little rockets into AFO’s mouth, both during his initial upside down explosion and while he was staring him down. Which I guess isn’t saying much since he can already alter his sweat to be explosive or not on command.

Overall a solid episode. Not a BANGER like 3 but a strong one still. Rest in piss AFO and we grow ever closer to Deku’s finest hour.

It's genuinely so funny, yet raw as hell given the right conditions (especially with the new movie scaling for Reze)

It's genuinely great.

Only downside is though it's leading to people thinking Reze is immune to explosions which.... yeah. Haven't seen the movie yet, seeing it tomorrow, but unless they actually added something saying that I think a bunch of people are just being fed misinfo and rolling with it lmao

They're only saying it because "She's the consept of bombs (is only the hybrid of the concept of bombs)" so she should be immune to her explosions (Fujimoto's interview literally say they hurt her)

I'm pretty sure Reze is currently too weak to fight Bakugo in any of his keys. I've heard about improved feats for her in the movie. We just need a blog on the movie's canonicity and its improved feats. Then we can upgrade her and make "Bakugo vs Reze" an actual thing.

Now that I'm here, I also remember that season 8 is finally out and I need to catch-up.
