I don't think it would be a good idea to deny validity for anyone who is a freelancer from writing for Sonic.

Prima guides are more about helping out on gameplay of Sonic 06, rather than explain story, setting and stats of it. I dont think trying to write a game guide is same as actually writing what is happening in Sonic 06, so its not quite the same. Prima guide wasnt intended to explain that sort of thing lol
Unless we really do the thing that "it doesnt matter what the intention is, it is official product and therefore it can be used to explain parts of story if it talks about it" which, well cant argue against that ig.

Using prima guides or something similar isn't something we automatically accept, using another franchise as an example Ganondorf currently has non-physical interaction due to a statement from the twilight princess prima guide made from 2006, but soon he's gonna lose the ability when his profile is remade because nobody from Nintendo / anyone that wrote the games story worked on or supervised it beyond just saying "yeah you can publish this guide" so it's not really valid lore.
Obviously wouldn't mean any and all prima/whatever else guides gets thrown out, maybe Sonic Team directly involved themselves with the extra lore stuff given in these guides or they officially confirmed the lore only seen in these guides is canon which would make it legit as secondary canon, but as a default we don't encourage using them. Although I think very recent prima guides (Well, recent relative to them stopping production in 2019) might be fine depending on how more hands any given game company were with them compared to like the early 2000s or whatever. I don't think we have any written standards on the site though, which would be useful.

I agree personally. I like Metal and Surge being these two versions, these victims, born into the concept of "My Sonic", being a "Sonic" controlled by someone else in a way. But Shadow also being inherently tied to Sonic doesn't work for me like it does for those two. I agree with the "Sonic-centric" thing. Part of why I like Sonic is that I see him as an entirely "regular" person, and not someone artificially made for a purpose or born of supernatural circumstances. But that also means making everything in the franchise effectively worship him takes away hard from that specific aspect.

I have to disagree. See, Solaris does exist in past, present, and future, (in the space-time intersection/rift, apparently?) which makes the "Solaris shooting beams in all time" more believable. But you have to understand this comes from the gameplay of a game where Sonic can casually stand on the side of a hill. I think it's a fair scale but if someone doesn't than I can't entirely blame them

Those two have zero correlation. For the lasers, those make sense because it's stated and heavily implied to do that. If Solaris exists throughout all of time, why not literally any of his attacks which stem from the newfound power he has. Literal game mechanics doesn't have any bearing on actual lore unless said otherwise. Like what? This argument is kind of dumb. None of it is a lore thing or implied to be an actual in-universe thing that's taken of note. Of course you can't entire blame them for not agreeing with this flawed line of logic because it's completely and utterly foolish. That's like saying using Idle Deloading in Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy puts the actual scaling and lore into question because it's a gameplay glitch. or something. Like, no. This isn't a fair scale. Literally what are you talking about? We can apply this logic to literally any video game verse.
I must repeat this. Unless it is acknowledged in verse/in lore and taken seriously, then it just does not apply in terms of its lore, let alone its scaling.

Yeah. I think the Mural Theory takes away from Shadow as a character and it's based off of very loose evidence. Shadow being his own character with no inherent ties to any other character (aside from the ones already in his bio) as a part of his backstory works best. Making Shadow just a "false copy of Sonic" completely betrays Shadow's identity in a way that's toxic, methinks. Identity is a big part of Shadow's being. Being his own person and being held down by nothing. The Mural Theory kind of spits in the face of all of that and is just a device to glaze Sonic and invalidate Shadow.

Why wouldn't he be? That's the inherent implication someone could gather. It's formed out of his own power which he had ascended to. I don't get this line of logic, It's not like Solaris is using some sort of device to make his attacks do this. I don't think it makes sense for Solaris NOT to exist in all of time.

Yeah, the only argument against that would be to say that "well, it's just a certain period in the past and future" but that was not exactly established in-game, and since time itself is the past, present, and future with Solaris about to **** up time ITSELF it makes sense for him to be temporally omnipresent. The only other way I feel would be to look at Ian Flynn's Bumblekast for answers but 06 isn't even a game he wrote and Bumblekast is literally just his opinions, as the description says

I am in fact almost done with Eggman's stats, the only part left is the AP, but some of the ones involving IDW just leave me confused since it doesn't seem to convey what the description involves.

Same, I am getting bitter about it tbh.
I haven't been working on it myself for the past week because of IRL crap (death has a funny way of halting plans), but I'm tempted to just quit working on wiki matters entirely since really only a select few have the willingness to do anything. It feels like people just got accustomed to me and a few others carrying the verse, but I'm getting tired and life waits for nobody. I guess we'll see, though.

I don’t have any problems with 5-D so I don’t think the ratings should change in any way, I don’t think people should agree with me either. It’s just something where I kinda wanna write all the evidence down some place, give reasons for and against all of it.

I had a family member pass recently and my motivation to do anything with fixing my Imgur stuff has just been in the gutter, but I'm not that much of a doomer to contemplate actually quitting the wiki (yet). And I'm mainly wanting to question things to both see if they hold up and just to make extra sure on stuff yk? Generally I did come to agree with a majority of the stuff I questioned in the first place, or it became at least a little more plausible like the hypertimeline
