Deep underground below the earth, there lies a world unknown to all those roaming above. A vast ecosystem in unto itself, fueled by radioactive crystals that provide similar life-giving energy as the sun's rays, and water from underground springs is a highly valued resource. Here, life flourishes as successfully as in the above world, traversing the many cavernous pathways in search of an ideal home. Danger potentially lies around every corner, be it the environment itself, or other native creatures looking for their next meal.

An rp concept I came up with in which the main focus of the game is survival. Discussion can be had here as to the overarching plot(s) and ideas that could be implemented.

The Setting:

A vast underground system of pockets/cavernous openings large enough to contain sustained ecosystems, connected through a series of tunnels. While the tunnels themselves are generally barren, many of the larger openings or spaces are a sort of oasis, where water is most commonly found, and that combined with the radioactive crystals that poke through the 'ceiling' of the above ground providing warm energy reminiscent of the sun's rays, means that these areas tend to be bountiful with plantlife. Some openings are massive (up to comparable size as your average island in terms of space) and can have huge lakes or even a series of rivers, housing vast forests or jungles that support a wide variety of life. Others are much smaller and, at best, have a pond-sized amount of water, these areas usually being more limited in their ability to support sustained life, but still nevertheless often managing. Some areas can have a perpetual cloud of fog or mist thanks to the large amount of water housed in them that tend to engulf the upper portions of the openings; these clouds can even rain, and a few are known to provide a perpetual rainstorm.

There is a wide variety of animal life that lives in this system, the likes of which can be discussed in terms of both players' characters and NPCs.

Character Creation Rules:
  • No human characters. Anthropomorphic characters are acceptable, but they should not just be humans with an animal part or two (ie. if you want to make a catgirl character, she can't be a human with cat ears and tail, you'd have to make her a fullblown furry). Non-human apes like gorillas, orangutans, and the like are completely fine.
  • The maximum height your character can be is 100 feet. Length and wingspan can be a bit more loose, but they cannot exceed 200 feet (example, a character who is 100 feet tall and 200 feet long is the absolute limit you can have in terms of size). There's technically no maximum weight in particular, but be reasonable about it. A 100 foot tall character with a weight of 60,000 tons or around that range is a no go.
  • No godmodding. This one's basically a given, but no making your character completely invincible, no controlling other players' characters without their consent, and so on.
  • You can use characters from preexisting properties/fandoms or make your own OCs, either is fine. Just be sure to take the size limit into consideration (for example, if you want to use Heisei Godzilla, he can't be 100 meters tall, only 100 feet at most.)
  • Be reasonable about your characters' power. While you can absolutely have your characters be strong, they can't be the strongest around or destroying entire areas or such. Boss-type characters who can destroy whole ecosystems in one attack or whatever are not allowed.
A note in regards to character creation, all characters have the following innate abilities:
  • Regeneration: High-Mid; Basically on par with Godzilla Minus One's regen. Death through combat is surprisingly difficult, and predators tend to exploit this by feeding on prey while they're still alive, allowing them to live and heal from it with the plan to hunt that same prey again later down the line. For this reason, characters tend to have a high tolerance to pain.
  • Immunity to radiation: Characters are immune to radiation, including that within the crystals providing light for the ecosystems. This doesn't automatically make them impervious to attacks that use radiation (ie. if they're hit by Godzilla's Atomic Ray or a similar attack, they'd still be hurt by it, it's just the radiation in that attack that'd be ineffective on them).
  • Sixth Sense: Characters have a sort of 'sixth sense' in that they are able to detect and locate sources of water from large distances. This can be as simple as sniffing for water, or sensing the presence of water as though its a signature that can be locked onto.

1. I'm gonna say no robots/mechs too.
2. Try and be reasonable with it. High level reality warping, instakill hax, or anything along that line is a no go. For stats, I don't want to use VSBW's methods of figuring out stats, so try looking at tiersetters like Baymax and just kinda eyeballing it.

Appearance: Resembles his canon counterpart, but with digitigrade legs, a more slimmed torso reminiscent of '73-'75 Godzilla, a crocodilian tail, and jaws more reminiscent of a crocodile's and Godzilla 2000's.

Personality: Cymbal was originally fully devoted to his father, and would do anything to achieve his goals, including taking lives however he saw fit. However, the mutant namekian mellowed out significantly over the years, and he's now much more of a live and let live kind of guy. He has grown to be more of a defender rather than a danger, aiding those in trouble even if the odds are against him.

Abilities:

Flight: Cymbal fly at high speeds thanks to his wings. Even if his wings are crippled or even removed, he can still propel himself using ki.

Fireballs: Shoots blue fireballs from his mouth.

Electric Shock Wave: Fires bolts of electricity from his hands, and can generate high amounts of electricity in his hands.

Mouth Energy Wave: Fires a blue beam of ki from his mouth.

Namekian Physiology: Despite being a mutant, Cymbal is still a namekian, and retains the same inherent abilities:
-Arm Extension: Can stretch his arms out just for you. At bare minimum, his arms can reach over several meters.
-Enhanced Hearing: Cymbal can pick up on minute sounds from great distances away.
-Size Alteration: Cymbal can grow to greater sizes, reaching a maximum size of 70 feet tall, 140 feet long, and weighing 5,000 tons, with a 140 foot wingspan.
-Water Sustenance: He can survive purely on water. While he can and does eat sources of food (mostly meat) and survive just fine, he can gain all the nutrients he needs from just water alone.

Explosive Demon Wave: Releases a shockwave of ki from his body in a wide radius to repel opponents or strike multiple opponents at once.

Eye Lasers: Shoots twin beams from his eyes.


Name: Battle Beast
Height: 7'6
Weight: 776 pounds

Appearance: Looks like his canon self, but with digitigrade legs and a lionlike tail.

Personality: Battle Beast is a warrior burdened with a perpetual warrior's rage that he claims torments him relentlessly, but he in fact is quite skilled at tempering it for long periods of time. He seeks more than anything to face a worthy opponent in battle, one that may be strong enough to defeat him, even if only temporary. Originally he sought out a warrior's death, but recognizing the futility of such a fate with his regenerative ability, Battle Beast instead seeks out strong battles that may help to satisfy his warrior's rage even if for a while. Battle Beast often puts on an unapproachable demeanor, claiming to be disinterested in anything other than combat, but he in fact will gain respect for others who prove themselves to be capable, both in and out of battle. Those who can grow close enough for him to consider friends will indeed find a great ally who will gladly come to their aid.

Abilities:

Strength: Battle Beast has high levels of strength, capable of brawling with and tossing around opponents well over 5 times his overall size.

Extraordinary Jumper: Able to leap well over several dozen meters.

Teeth and Claws: His teeth and claws can shred through most armor and defenses.

Endurance: Battle Beast's sheer endurance and resilience is almost supernatural. He will keep fighting even when suffering deep gashes, impalement, and missing limbs. He has a high pain tolerance even for a character of this setting.

Self-Sustenance: Able to survive without oxygen.

Weapons: Battle Beast tends to carry with him several forms of weapons, including the following:
-A golden mace
-A broadsword
-An axe
-A spiked club
-He may also craft makeshift weapons from the bodyparts of others


Name: 'Goji', The Man in the Suit

Personality: A twisted echo of the true monster he attempts to emulate, the Man in the Suit is a demented beast who truly believes himself to be a sort of god. His obsession with Godzilla is part of what led to his mutation into a form rather similar to the Kaiju King, exhibiting a sort of cunning mind intertwined with the feral nature of a savage beast.

Abilities:

Blood Beam: An imitation of Godzilla's Atomic Ray, a concentrated stream of boiling blood fired from his mouth. With the proportionate force of a fire hose, and blistering heat, this attack can be quite a painful one for many, but requires Goji to effectively force his body to rupture his insides to use. As such, it can only be used sparingly.

Acid Spit: Goji can spit a glob of acid from his mouth, this mucus-coated projectile able to cover a large range with how far it can travel, and bursting into a large puddle of sizzling acid that persists for a short while and burns whoever touches it. Functions pretty much identical to the acid spit of the Spitter from Left 4 Dead 2.

Boiling Blood: Goji's blood is burning hot, resulting in both having a high enough body temperature to potentially burn others through prolonged contact, and burning others in much the same manner as his Blood Beam if injured to the point of his skin breaking much like a Xenomorph.

Suit: The Suit that Goji wears is surprisingly durable, able to withstand a significant amount of force. Although it has effectively become his skin, he doesn't feel pain from injuries inflicted on the outside of it (or perhaps is simply highly tolerant of it), and will fight through getting large portions of his Suit destroyed or removed. The Suit can regenerate just like the rest of his body.

Strength: Goji possesses formidable strength for his size, able to brawl with opponents more than twice his overall size. His jaws are a formidable weapon, able to bite through tough armor with relative ease, with his pointed teeth dealing nasty piercing damage. He often opts to rip opponents apart with his sharp claws.
