It isn't a mistranslation. The original Japanese in the sub states it's a 2.5x boost

I wonder if we could calculate the temperature of several characters (Jogo, Sukuna's Fuga and Kashimo's vaporizing water) with this method. I also remember a Bleach calc using a similar version of it

That calc is using the method I did for Jogo's calc. Lightning heat is a bit weird given it destroys and doesn't melt/vap stuff in fiction as a common thing so its doubtful that gets accepted.
 
Didn't Sun and M3X almost made verse rule to never bring this feat ever again?

Sammy suggested using that method. Arkenis said I should use Iron Dust instead which'd be small city but irl thermobarics almost never use iron dust and it creates a very brief blast, which, as the anime depicted it, fuga isn't brief. And he's adding explosive energy to the dust so imo, Aluminum dust is more accurate. I have a Shinjuku calc that is city level regardless of the fuel used (someone please get the mods to evaluate all this)

Hmm, but isn't Hakari;
  • on yuta's level and only speeds up by a bit (never blitzed Kashimo and the farmer kept up with him even after Hakari got faster)
  • Kashimo fought bro on equal terms
  • is relataltive to the other heavy hitters.
How would only Hakari scale (15/16 and 20F Sukuna and Gojo would 100% scale no matter what)?

Yeah its too inconsistent for the most part. Everyone just magically being mhs off Hakari too doesn't work well with everything else stated in the series.
 
If we had like, three or four more feats 50% close to that speed, I would be fine with the scaling, otherwise no. This feat was rejected numerous times and the staff almost made a rule to not make threads related to it due to the amount of times that it was evaluated and refused

He didn't though. Kashimo near end of Jackpot got outsped by Hakari.

Kashimo only fought him equally in the beginning but that lighting dodge comes from Hakari near the end of jackpot.
Where we know his speed greatly increases. You can check chapter 188. Hakari combat speed outsclassed Kashimo by miles.

Heavy hitters never based on physical sts. While we have Yuta and Hakari comparable sts still Yuta conceded when he is on Jackpot Hakari has upper hand.

i wanna say so but due to Yuji outright punching the bullets when they came at him (at least the anime, not sure about manga) and the fact everyone is in the subsonic due to naoya, i'd say nah
