Hashira vs Meruem

I was about to say that the Hashiras had a small chance if they were quick until I saw that the chimera ants survive without a head 💀

That unironically makes them stronger since Post-Mortem Nen is a thing as shown by Neferpitou getting an amp as a literal corpse and Netero stabbing his own heart causing his Nen to buff up enough to bypass Meruem's resistance to Nen Crush.
 
Meruem wins this. Outmuscles, the longer the fight goes on the harder things get for the Hashira due to his accelerated development, and they’d have to decapitate him to actually stand a chance at killing him, and like SoulOfCinder said, that’s going to cause it’s own set of problems even if they do.

Tbf multiple of them has the STW which will boost their speed greatly (Yes STW is both a speed amp and perception amp. Its just that the perception amp of STW is way larger than the speed amp. Muichiro went from being blitzed and seeing a casual kokushibo "teleport" to him to being capable of dodging and tagging a serious kokushibo)

Theres also the possibility of the non marked hashiras gaining their mark and then proceeds to blitz him. The same goes for Rengoku and Shinobu if they go their Death Amp and just start blitzing him with 10x the speed advantage.

Kimetsu no Yaiba characters are not faster than sound because Gyomei who is blind uses a chain to orient himself with the sound and he is one of the strongest characters, so any character similar in strength to him can't surpass the speed of sound

To start off, Meruem has an AP/durability advantage with Ryo and Ko (5.5 Megatons vs 2.9 Megatons for the strongest members), alongside an LS advantage. Now, 5.5 Megatons doesn't seem like that huge of a jump, but it's worth mentioning that Meruem can also just no-sell attacks that scale to 5.5 Megatons. Factor in his power modification, reactive evolution. and extraordinary genius IQ, capable of precognition-like analytical skills, allowing him to analyze millions of possibilities in the matter of seconds, and find openings in near-perfect defenses, slipping through the cracks of attacks that should be far faster than himself. He can definitely make up for the speed difference between him and STW users, and just slowly become stronger and faster himself.

That's not even mentioning his power absorption. If he manages to kill and eat part of someone like Muichiro or Iguro, he could manifest the mark and access the STW himself, and his version of those abilities will be vastly improved upon. Or if he eats someone weaker like Tengen, he'd just have battle spirit on top of his Ren.

Even if Meruem gets decapitated, he'd just become stronger post-mortem and continue fighting for another 24 hours, meaning the Hashira would have to kill and outlast him for a whole day, while conserving their stamina against a now even stronger Meruem, or just completely annihilate him. Neither of these possibilities seem likely to me.

If a Nen crush is out of the picture, I'm voting Meruem.

Edit: Forgot to mention the default argument against demon slayers, their durability should massively downscale from their AP, and their AP being reliant on slashing and piercing attacks means they're gonna far weaker without their swords. And with superior LS and IQ, disarming is absolutely on the table.

Meruem is way too powerful and adaptable for them to stand a chance once he gets to eat one of the weaker ones like Shinobu or Uzui. I’m voting the Ant King
 
Felt like I had psychosis cuz I thought it said Hashirama.
Forgot I even made this. Welp hopefully its still doable whenever the KNY changes happen
