That is a super based description, sadly the eng doesn't say this.
So we basically have:
1. The curse is inflicted into a higher level of existence
2. Shades are higher power.
3. The realm of the shades exist beyond the universe (framewise)
3. Surtalogi can remove the curse
4. Surtalogi a higher being.
5. Surtalogi reached higher power
Then we also have the tons of temporal hax from istaroth, which some ppl downplay. But don't wanna get into that for now.

Alice, Surtalogi, and Skirk call it the boundary of the worlds. The description of the Narwhal also mentions that the false sky represents a higher power.
So I think the false sky isn't that simple. It's not just a dome depicting the sky, it might be something more complex.
and it makes sense to me why surtalogy can undo the curse of immortality and open the borders of the world, because a higher power can only be fought with a power on the same level as it
