Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

On the official SonicChannel YouTube, there are Q&A videos answered by Sonic (Vtuber) where he usually answers everything with great accuracy to anything related to the games material and lore. In one of these videos, when answering a question about stages/places that stuck in his mind, Sonic mentions that he liked when the color went back to the areas and zones that the Time Eater attacked, and that it boils down to basically every place he's ever been. This would obviously include Blaze's dimension, Maginaryworld, Story Books Worlds, all Special Stages, all alternate futures of Sonic CD and etc:

As I said at the beginning, I don't know exactly what this influences, but I think it's important to bring this up here in case it helps in any way.

Also, for anyone curious, in this same video Sonic confirms that the events of Sonic Labyrinth happened (at 12:22), I think this is good evidence to solidify the game as canon (of course, if these videos are even valid).

We always accepted Labyrinth as canon. You can check that here if you didn't know.

The Spin Dash has a resistance to stats reduction because of that game.

Labyrinth confirmed canon??? High 1-B Sonic here we come, YIPPEEE!! (We always treated it as canon iirc, no reason for it to not be. Only Redditors think "Obscure Game = Not Canon").

Regarding your other post, yes, thank you for bringing that forward. I think I can even add that to my blog regarding White Space to confirm it would include those destinations. Brilliant work finding that again.

  • Make explicit mention of Time Eater messing with non-existent timelines (by adding additional statements regarding it).
  • Add additional statements that aid the blog from dialogue in Shadow Gens and material revolving around it.
  • Likely add something regarding the specific Iblis that merged with Solaris since that seems to be a big thing for Qaw, who seems to not realize there are two Iblises (one which was sealed in Blaze from Silver's future, and the one which was erased with Mephiles and the events of 06).
Amongst one or two clean-ups.
 
Hi sonic fans I have to come to ask for aid for a mario profile I've started drafting.

For the members section of the Team Sonic profile how did you make the images fully fit into the portraits? I've tried everything from resizing images and just straight up copy and pasting the gallery from the source code of the Team Sonic profile into my sandbox and replacing it with my own images and it still crops out parts of the images like below. Doesn't seem to be a preview thing since I tried just viewing a preview of the Team Sonic gallery and it still looked fine.

Would be funny if hypertime gets removed and there’s another 10+ page thread a few months later to reinstate it.

You could try editing the sizes in the source code to make the pictures smaller, or manually make them smaller in like a visual editor before taking the files and downloading them into the wiki database

Tried that and it was the exact same cropping issue, but I'm also admitally shit at wiki source code so I could just be doing it wrong.

OP did also say they were planning on debunking the 5-D stuff so I might try to update some stuff also.

From my observations, it's typically either related to the size of the image itself or how "zoomed in/out" an image is.

I would recommend to try finding either the same images but in a different size, or ditching it for new images to try with them. I'm at work until late tonight so I can't help, but I could still help tomorrow if you need it.
 
Actually, speaking of 5-D, doesn't Maginaryworld have dream recursion stuff? Does that stuff increase the tier or just potency within Low 1-C? Whatever it is.

I dunno how the stuff works, but there's a mini event where characters dream, even though they're already inside a dream.

Yes, I have actually been working behind the scenes on that, might lead to another dimension upgrade in the same vein as the MLP one. Just waiting on crossworlds

Taken literally, an infinite dream recursion within Maginaryworld would be High 1-B iirc.

However, that sort of thing will need good evidence.
 
I remember playing Battle Cats as a 16 year old with my little sister lol. Nostalgic to see it still around.

Won't be surprised if they try Summoners War. That game gets plenty of crossovers.

In case we still accept each special stage as a parallel universe it would mean 1/5 of a Chaos Emerald is 6 universes, resulting in a full Chaos Emerald being 30 universes and 7 of them being 210 universes unless that's not how tier 2 standards work

In Sonic Blast, Eggman had shattered Sonic's Chaos Emerald into five pieces with a laser, Sonic retrieves the pieces from the Special Stages they reside in and combines them into one in the end.



They actually get shattered into 5 pieces again in Sonic Battle, they were used to power the E-121 Phi and enhanced Chaos Gamma's strength.

Weren't they retconned to be "indestructible"? In any case, Eggman probably had tech that used their own energy against them so they would shatter, perhaps. They're certainly not gonna break easily.

My headcanon is that the Chaos Emerald's variable power level also applies to their durabillity.
 
Good job for the supporters on defending Sonic's 6-D rating on the thread. I'd like to note if we do end up downgraded, we'd go back to Low 1-C, possibly 1-C with Solaris' super-dimensional statement from Eggman, if i recall correctly.
