In the middle of a rocky wasteland, a yellow haired child and a high school student were testing their attacks. “Come on, Zatch. Let’s make sure we’re ready for the battle against Clear Note!” Kiyo said, pointing his fingers ahead of him.
The blonde demon nodded, “Yeah!”
After the confirmation, Kiyo shouted, “Zakeruga!” Immediately, Zatch went unconscious as a sharp blast of lightning came out of his mouth. Obliterating a large rock which shot off in large chunks. Kiyo smirked, patting Zatch on the head. “Nice shot, buddy. But we’ll need to come with some bigger stuff. Who knows if we’ll make it out of these upcoming battles alive without reaching the peak of your potential.” The smaller boy nodded, clearly understanding his partner’s worries.
Kiyo pointed towards a nearby mountain, determined to test bigger spells. But as he was about to give the command a voice was heard. Then a rock flew in front of him. Kiyo was confused to hear someone other than he and Zatch in such a desolate place. In the place where the rock met his eye, an orange man wearing goggles appeared.
“Yo, are you the ones destroying this place? Not that I’m not admiring the show. But this isn’t exactly something to do as a hobby.” The orange man put his arms behind his head. A large staff being visible, resting atop his elbows.
Zatch looked up at the stranger. He didn’t look exactly like a human, but not like a demon either. “Woah! Nice goggles, mister! Who are you?”
The orange man chuckled at the compliment. “The name’s Cinner! And you?”
“I’m Zatch Bell!”
Kiyo was feeling skeptical of the random guy introducing himself in front of him. But he didn’t sense any negative intentions. The lack of anybody with him also lessened the odds that Cinner had anything to do with the tournament to decide the demon world king. Still, he needed to make sure there wouldn’t be any trouble. “Listen, we’re kind of in the middle of something here. So why don’t you just move along and let us train? I don’t wanna risk getting you hurt.”
That piqued Cinner’s interested. He raised a brow, clearly unintimidated by Kiyo’s words. “If that’s the big deal, then I’m your guy. Just fight me!” With a smile, Cinner let his staff slide down to his hands. Taking a strong stance.
Zatch was unsure if he should’ve taken Cinner’s offer. But the man seemed genuine and he needed to get stronger by any means necessary. Looking up at Kiyo with a determined glare, Zatch prepared himself for battle. Kiyo was ready to shake his head, but understood Zatch’s feelings. Closing his eyes, he opened them to reveal some purple swirls in them which gave the teen an entirely different vibe.
“No backing down, Zatch. Get ready.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” Cinner said, clutching his staff. Focusing his energy. His skin started to glow brightly, he was glistening. After his transformation, he smirked.
