I'm trying to see if there's evidence to potentially support heat vision being treated as lasers.
James Gunn described it as such:
"The fact that he can fly and lift buildings and shoot laser beams out of his eyes was really secondary to who he was as a person and what he stood for."
Apparently the Daily Planet newspaper article glimpsed in the movie that was written by Clark Kent about the "Hammer of Boravia" stated that the "Hammer" used an "ocular laser strike".
In the Welcome to Metropolis novel, heat vision beams are described as "laserlike", and reflect off Metallo:

Honestly, is it weird that I prefer Superman to not die against Doomsday. Cause honestly, I feel out of Doomsday's best story arcs, Death of Superman isn't even close to being the best.
I feel its very possible to introduce Doomsday without going the DoS route.

Not at all, but it would definitely help set the tone of this Superman imo, also doubt Corenswet will playing the role for too long, so it could be a great send off for him. Doomsday's story arc could be wrapped up with Superboy and Supergirl.
But yeah they don't have to end it there, I suppose.
Doomsday does have other cool stories, like in the New 52 where Superman was becoming him, and even some of the more recent stuff like him being the King of Hell (he fought Supergirl while in Hell while she was wearing an armor made to fight the ******* presence or so I've been told)

I accounted for all that, the almost Class G comes from the given stated values, but then applied to the whole "falls on its ass and supes catches it" type thing.
Like, obviously stopping a truck gonna get your LS beyond just its default mass, same deal here.

Thats your headcanon, he actually explicit is able to percieve events down to the microseconds (stated in the prequel novel), explicitly has at worst Supersonic combat speeds which is also stated, The Engineer is able to keep up with Superman's flight speed and gain on him with her attacks etc.

Yeah he has super speed and perception but when he fights, regular humans are able to perceive his movements. That's how Lex and his goons are able to read his movements and give Ultraman commands

1. Its fiction shit like that tends to happen across all media look at almost every video game, comic, tv, or anime charactet with goons who are subsonic+~higher yet I'm able to perceive them regardless because it has to be playable or watchable.
2. Superman explicitly does use superspeed in combat its stated and they have feats of reacting to shit and hell at the very beginning Lex and his crew track Superman's flight back down to the second and issue out orders for counters as he's still coming in from Antartica

You don't need superhuman perception speed to react to that. If Superman was using his super speed in his fight against Ultraman I don't think anyone would have any time to give Ultraman commands. I'm not saying he doesn't have superhuman combat and reaction speed, just that he didn't use it in his big fight

Prequel novels, he's also noted to be the strongest and fastest being on the planet which includes being faster than goons like the creature commandos who can perceive bullets to a crawl and react to them in combat, the same creature commandos who a highly trained human like Rick Flag Sr. Can fight btw, you gotta understand this shit is fiction brodie people can perceive whatever the plot says they can.

The novel blatantly says Supes has microsecond reaction time and fights at mach speeds. Supes at a few points in his fights throws blows that are relativistic or deep into mach against Ultraman.
Ultraman can of course exceed Supes' perception or reactions with blows, punches, etc.
There's like 5+ layers that of stuff that all lead to "Super must be fighting at this speed otherwise he would never be tagged", and even in that very fight, there's instances of him moving at stupid speeds and throwing stupid attacks that confirm yep, he's fighting that fast and it isn't up for debate because we just literally watched him do it on screen.
Which is to say Lex and whatnot giving commands? Not even "it's a movie", they just downscale ig, not like they have anti-feats. Like, wow shocker a DC human is superfast? Not like comic Lex doesn't have legit mach to FTL feats and his ass is just a human too. Would we say Batman deflecting gunfire or hearing a mach 3 bullet before it hitsthis happened don't count because human?
If you wanted to be actually anal, you could even say the whole fight doesn't make sense, in the time the sound from Lex's voice moved, any action would be far to late, based SOLELY on the fact that in the fight alone there's evidence of supersonic motions and movement, like how is Lex saying 236m when like 5 sonic booms just happened so whatever he was saying that toward has long since past?

Braniac would be an awesome villain, but I'm not sure if they'll do another supergenius right after Lex Luthor. I mean, personally I would love it because intelligent characters are awesome, but I think they might try something different.
He could be the villain of David's final act as Superman. Or they could do something with Doomsday that isn't just the death of superman.

But that's the thing, she has one just like Clark and iirc, in every version, her's works, unlike his.
I mean, not to judge this by all others, but I think it's fair to hold off on that until we get clear context. Or at least the MFTL Travel should be listed as "Possibly" as we can't discount her space ship yet.
