Speed is equalized.
Both are in-character, and start 10 meters away.
The battle takes place in Yoyle City.
Firey has all of his optional equipment except the Yoylecake.

Either A: Lapis douses Firey with water
Or B: Firey one shots.

This is all depending if Lapis leads with water attacks.

The classic BFDI match of “who one shots each other first”

Anyways, I’m pretty sure Firey can just get into his spaceship and be safe. It may take a few tries, but he has a recovery center so it’s fine. How does Lapis combat this?

And what if Firey just... flies out of her water range and outranges her with lasers?
Yoyle Land leads into the Goiky Canal, which is an absolutely GIGANTIC body of water, so I don’t know if he could fly the ship out of her range that easily. Even if he flies into space of something, could he realistically hit her with the ship’s lasers or anything? From what I can see, Firey just spams he laser button and hopes it hits something when he’s attacking with the ship, and Lapis is WAY smaller than him in addition to the considerable distance they’d have to be for Lapis’ water not to reach him.

Idk. Speed is equalized down to Relativistic due to speed equalization. And yet Lapis still keeps her MFTL+ Flight speed rating;
with Massively FTL+ Flight Speed (Flew from Earth to the Gem homeworld, which is located in another galaxy, in a very brief timeframe, and later flew from Earth to outside the Milky Way and back to Earth in a matter of days)
Question is, how fast is his spaceship because she'll likely just catch up faster and blitz him before he even knows what hit him. Her range is also Planetary so he'll be within her reach as soon as she catches up.

We see in BFB 19 that the spaceships' lasers are capable of affecting the entire sun, not to mention how in BFDIA 20, they've straight up been shown to destroy planets in one hit.

Wasn't it just physical movement speed in general being equalized? Attack speed should remain unchanged or at least be faster proportionally to the physical movement speed of the user.

It should be just as fast as him given how he's kept up with contestants comparable to Puffball who can straight up keep up evenly with Spongy's spaceship. That being said, it should be 676.9 nonillion C.

I'll just get this out of the way: I might as well vote Firey via having better range and AoE with his attacks. Lapis only caps at Planetary, but Firey can pretty much exceed far beyond this up to Interplanetary ranges with his attacks.

Lapis can just bring that range with her though since it comes from having the ocean under her control. Speed is equalized so if she flies after them with the earth’s oceans they will forever be at the same range from each other.
Not saying who wins yet, just mean saying they out range is strange since they will both be within each other’s ranges.
