Yes, however Narukami still has AP and vaporizes matter. He won't be shocked by it or paralyzed, but will take damage if hit.
Fair enough, however in character Kyoichiro would block all attacks like this. Against Taiyo he never took electrical attacks with his bare body besides when he wanted to taunt him
Were these dual weapons something like the quinque, which have alternate modes, defense, and donmaku? If not, that would be problematic.
Actually yes, Shinzo uses Ukon gold tumeric which molds itself according to what the user wants. So he could make shields, hammers, axes, swords, dual swords, scissors, maces, turrets etc. Ukon is also a substance allowing Shinzo to alter its density, to make the weapon heavier or lighter whether for speed or more power. Yet Kyoichiro fought Shinzo off fine while being 5v1'd before the timeskip. (Context Kyoichiro was poisoned in a way where touching him would kill you, so he had to fight while ensuring they didn't tag him physically or with weapons, but the people attacking him didn't know that detail.)
The sharpness of the quinque is the reason why it is so effective against ghouls.
Sharpness of Arima's quinque = sharpness of Kaneki's kagune >>> sharpness of Haise's kagune > sharpness of Kaneki Part 1's kagune >>> sharpness of a common ghoul's kagune > toughness of a ghoul resistant to cuts
Noted, although still, something so small that'd be able to inflict severe damage on arima is still a massive problem. When a quinque is swung at you, dodging or parrying it would be much easier cause its basically a sword or a spear or based on other kinds of conventional weapons
Is it in his nature to use this from the start? Because using IXA's hidden attacks is how he started the fight with Kaneki.
Actually yes, especially if the enemy is aggressive. He even defaulted to it when he
got mildly spooked in the middle of a casual fight where his life was not on the line
There are also other types of steel spider shields he can easily form like Naraku, where he can
clench his fist and create a dome around himself
Since Yozakura Extrasensory can sense bloodlust and malicious intent Kyoichiro will be on guard enough to react and do either of these pretty quick.
All of this is definitely a problem and Arima is not capable of responding to it. However, he is strong enough to cut the threads, agile and experienced enough to escape from donmaku and skilled enough to dictate his terms of battle.
Technically he cannot cut them, since they have Low 7-B durability, he'd basically just be knocking them away or parrying with his AP advantage.
I'd say Arima's ability to handle Kyoichiro's danmaku depends on proximity, at further range he should handle it fine the threads will be more spread out, so he could jump through gaps, but if very close I'd say its very dangerous as each thread would be close to each other. Plus as I sent in an earlier scan, Kyoichiro has outright slashed something into dust. Thats quite a bit more severe than the Danmaku Arima faces from ghouls, unless I'm missing a feat of Arima's.
However, from what I read, Kyouichiro lacks experience, maturity and a serious attitude towards the enemy. Meanwhile, Arima is extremely cold-blooded, never drags out the fight, does not underestimate the enemy, is careful and knows which trump card to pull out at the right moment. This is its advantage.
This is true. Arima is ferocious. Kyoichiro meanwhile toys with enemies that are scared of him or he can tell are weaker than him. Kyoichiro only really fights ruthlessly if it's a family matter (Like if his sister was in danger) or he's generally enraged. But Arima is a very quiet fighter, so it'd be alot of Kyoichiro throwing out jokes as he fights him with Arima not responding.
If Arima gets a critical hit in and Kyoichiro survives it though (Like an IXA tendril stabbing him in the torso), he will immediately go all out, his blooming or using his paralysis attacks are going to be used immediately. I'd say Arima needs to kill in one fatal swoop since as you said, those are things Arima has no counters to.
This is something he will definitely take advantage of as soon as he has the opportunity.
The issue with this win condition though is that Arima cannot see the goddess web (as Blooming user's can barely see it), so he'd have to try figure out with hand gestures Kyoichiro can do are creating the shield or what are signs he's lowering it. It's possible yeah but difficult, since how he moves his hands or arms can vary to create similar things.
As I said, some of MYF's abilities are too unusual and at the same time fatal. If Arima has prior knowledge, he will be able to develop optimal tactics.
I'll give them both prior knowledge. Arima's abilities are less advanced and gimmicky, so Arima benefits more from knowing Kyoichiro's stuff than vice versa
I also think a good condition would be to make the fight on CCG territory and scatter other investigators around the quinque. Arima has already fought in this style in the past against an enemy that could kill him with 1 hit, was more experienced and attacked with an active flurry. This will probably make the fight more dynamic.
If I remember correctly you can't do this as it counts as outside parties assisting in the battle, most you'd be able to do is give him any optional quinques by default entering the battle
